𝗚...𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲. Being grateful for what we have, while striving for what we want - sounds easy in theory! Dissatisfaction often comes from looking outside at what others have and feeling like we are never enough. Expressing gratitude helps us to centre, tune in, and then we are ready to take action. (You might like to begin a gratitude journal ritual to turn the expression of gratitude into a habit.) #workstyle #careerdevelopment #careers #workdesign #jobsearch #careerchange

I am so grateful for the multitude of experiences and opportunities throughout my life that have brought me so much joy. 🙌 Travel, new opportunities, seeing concerts and attending events, adventures with friends, being part of organizations that molded me professionally, and volunteer roles that have allowed me to give back to others. On the topic of joy, I recently saw the Rolling Stones in concert. 🎸It was a bucket list item for me (thank you, husband!) and was in awe of how much the entire band brought to the performance--especially after being in the business for seven decades. Most of us won’t be in the same gig for 60+years--not even close. The new reality is that most of us will need to reinvent ourselves or pivot to a new path--maybe even several times. This can feel like a letdown and disorientating. And not the plan we had envisioned. To paraphrase the Stones, we can’t always get what we want, and many times we can’t get no satisfaction. To find gratitude in those moments is hard. Getting off cruise control and pushed into a new lane can create opportunities for growth and learning new things. I’m grateful (sometimes belatedly) for times when I was forced out of my comfort zone, and grateful to have a bank of experiences and moments of joy to call on when the future feels cloudy and there are uncertain times ahead. Having an attitude of gratitude takes intention, but a reminder that we can do hard things. Let’s #KeepGoing together! #AttitudeofGratitude #MonthofGratitude #Intentions #Pivots

“Expect Nothing, Appreciate Everything” is the mantra that I am using this month. This mantra is about keeping our expectations of ourselves and others in check. Letting go of the pressures of such expectations and accepting ourselves and others. It is about learning to be content with what we have and not rely on others for our own happiness. It is also about practicing gratitude by appreciating everything that we have and that is around us. Appreciating the small and the big things. And sometimes what seems like the small things are in fact the big things e.g. the ability to see, the ability to move, appreciating the birdsongs when outdoors, enjoying the dry weather and being grateful for the rain watering the gardens.....and many more. “Expect Nothing, Appreciate Everything” Namaste - have a good week Bill Leckie Rachael Burnside Clare Pierotti Claire Campbell Deborah Leveroy PhD Emma Buchanan Elaine Kearney Gustavo Ayres Netto Ⓥ 🚲 Giada Gaslini Jon Walton Jude Slann Kirsty Pugh Linzi Carr Lynne Murray Pedro Couto Lopes Ronnie Connick Ross Cooney Shona Hirons Angela Lindsay Yvonne McNair .......and many more #mantra #mentalwellbeing #gratitude #expectationsmanagement

As Hospital Week 2024 🏥 ends, let’s discuss why celebrating 🎉 this event is so important. It's not just about having fun and recognizing our team's efforts in a stressful workplace but also a chance to express gratitude. Showing gratitude 🙏 is vital for building a solid team with a positive culture. When someone receives praise for their performance, and others witness it, it fosters a sense of shared responsibility and positive impact. Unfortunately, some leaders are uncomfortable expressing gratitude 🙏 and miss an opportunity to utilize this effective tool 🛠 to improve their engagement. Gratitude 🙏 is most effective when genuine and specific, and providing it doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. One powerful way to express gratitude 🙏 is by sending a personalized thank-you note; 💌 sending it to a team member’s home address 📫 adds an extra special touch. The Healthcare "She" Suite often uses this method to recognize those who exceed expectations. It’s not just a pleasant surprise 😯 for the recipient but also ignites a spark of motivation, inspiring them to continue striving for excellence. It sends a clear message: your efforts are appreciated, and we want to ensure you know it. Expressions of gratitude 🙏 are powerful motivators. This is why Hospital Week matters! So, She Suiters, let's maintain this attitude of gratitude 🙏 throughout the year with a call to action. How will YOU show gratitude 🙏 this year? https://lnkd.in/eJ4HVwxy

When organisations analyse their culture and determine their values, gratitude isn't a trait that is likely to appear. Yet, more and more research is revealing the significant role it plays in elevating well-being, enhancing relationships and enabling progress. In a working world that's constantly changing and throwing up obstacles and challenges, the ability of leaders and employees to withstand stress and be resilient is critical. Gratitude can play a part in this. So today, on World Gratitude Day, pause and think about what you're grateful for right now. It might be that you've found the time to pause in your busy working day or the coffee you enjoy drinking as you read this. It might be an interaction with a colleague or seeing the sun shining through your office window. For me, I'm grateful for the joy that my fabulous pooch Barney brings into my working day. He is an awesome working companion! 🐶 As Professor Robert Emmons said, “𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.” Gratitude is one of the greatest gifts we have. When you are grateful, you focus on what you have, not what you don’t have. It’s easy to be pulled away from what you really want out of life by focusing on what others have. Appreciate what’s in front of you. Importantly, cultivating gratitude at work is something we can all contribute to, as I explain in this article 👉 https://lnkd.in/g9tkWxkf #Gratitude #WorldGratitudeDay #leaders Find me on Linktree | https://lnkd.in/dKEbrHFs

I wish you all a very happy holiday season 🎅 🎄 from the bottom of my heart ❤️. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people, companies, and institutions that have placed their trust in my services this year 🙏 and all the followers that support me along the way 💫. My goal is to provide you with the Mindset and Leader Skills that can help you become the best version of yourself to achieve your goals and live with wellbeing, joy and fulfilment. And I am truly grateful to continue this journey together. I also want to share three thoughts with you about this time of year: 1⃣ Appreciate the family members with whom you can share meals these days. They won't always be there. 2⃣ Take advantage of this time to reflect and introspect. Appreciate your accomplishments, ask yourself how you can continue to grow and evolve and define your personal and professional goals for 2024. 3⃣ During this holiday season, some countries celebrate Christmas. This word comes from the word "to be born." Take advantage of this opportunity to give birth to a new perspective of love, inclusion, and compassion for life and ourselves. A perspective free from guilt, conflict and fight, from the love and consciousness that we are. I wish you all a holiday season filled with love ❤️, peace 🕊️, and happiness 🎉. ✍🏻 If you want to share any additional holiday thoughts, feel free to do so in the comments. #motivation #leadership #inclusion #emotionalwellbeing #prosperity
