After the warm welcome that I had from the last one of these updates, I thought it was about time to give another market update. I was actually going to do this when the last entrepreneurs report was issued, but I particularly wanted to give a shout out to female founder issues today, which those of you know me, I spent quite a lot of time on thinking about it and helping. Particularly given the fact that we have just seen one of the largest pre seed raises from an amazing team called Hey Savvy. I wanted to give them a shout out and also. Talk about some of the ways in which if you are a female founder team, you can get help and support to raise your next round. So the Entrepreneurs Report is super interesting as ever. We touched on a whole range of topics and I put the link in the box below. But here I just wanted to call out that we are generally seeing an improving market in the really early stages. I think it's still a bit bumpy, but generally across A and B valuations appear to be heading northwards. We're also seeing that dry powder. Generally is coming off the sidelines and some of the large deals are happening. At the back of the entrepreneurs report, we have a section specifically looking at the UK and we're now beginning to see some of the really big deals happening. The 50 million, the 100,000,000, the mega and the Giga deals is Bluehost call them. Those do tend to be focused around London and Cambridge. Those are the two areas where the biggest volume and value of deals are happening, but not only, there are certainly a whole range of companies raising money across the country. And as we go into in the report, I think some interesting things are happening at the spin out end of the market in the UK. So please do have a look at that. But as I said, I really wanted to give a shout out to some of the female founder issues. If you are a female founder team, I think the hay savvy example of an all female founder team raising over 2,000,000 is, is an amazing thing to focus on. At the moment we don't see many of those examples and and I think it is indicative of the fact that the markets beginning to change. There are lots of terrible stats in Europe about the amount of money that's gone into all female teams or even female led teams and the numbers only got worse after lockdown. But it really feels like there's a time and place and a real movement around supporting female founders. I would really say thank you to the team at Broadway for championing this, but not only that, the team at Albion with radio, many of the female founder focused and diversity focused VC's.
