Did you know Alliance and South Dallas have seen more industrial space added since 2020 than most other metropolitan areas have in the last decade? This record-shattering construction cycle in DFW’s outfield might be coming to a close, as recent figures suggest developers are beginning to look inwards once again as price differences erode. Outfield activity peaked in early 2023, consisting of nearly 83% of all ongoing industrial construction at the time. Since then, the spread has been shrinking as developers move forward with plans to bring new space to key infield locations like D/FW Airport or the Eastern Lonestar Turnpike. Newly christened projects, like the Shady Grove Logistics Crossing in Grand Prairie, show an appetite for new infield industrial space returning to the market. MnDOT is taking the next big step in its $86-million campus redevelopment project, and they’re on the lookout for a construction manager to lead the charge. 🏗️ This project will redevelop Minnesota Department of Transportation's (MnDOT) District 1 Virginia campus with a new 175,000-square-foot truck station and headquarters facility, with a focus on modernization and enhanced efficiency. Key highlights of the redevelopment plan: • The campus redevelopment will replace and upgrade aging facilities that have served MnDOT since the 1950s. • From a design standpoint, MnDOT has said the new building will need to meet the requirements of the Minnesota B3 Sustainable Building Program. • Besides the main building, scopes of work range from demolition of existing structures and removal of contaminated soils to construction of multiple storage facilities. LHB, Inc. has been tapped to design the new facility. This is a major opportunity for firms specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects! If you're in the construction industry and looking to be a part of this transformation, this is a chance to contribute to a project that makes an impact for Minnesota. 🔗 Read the full details here: https://lnkd.in/gUaTec_W #MnDOT #MinnesotaConstruction #ConstructionManagement #Infrastructure #Redevelopment #Sustainability #ConstructionNews

As we start Global Goals Week, we're highlighting how the built environment, in particularly structural and civil engineering, can significantly contribute to creating a brighter, more sustainable future for the world. Today, Sutcliffe is focusing on 'Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure'. Innovation is at the core of everything we do, as showcased by our Longshaw Drive project in Salford - a groundbreaking, council-led housing initiative constructed by Seddon. By building new homes to Passivhaus standards, energy consumption is minimised and bills are reduced for residents while also helping to tackle the housing crisis in the city of Salford. Husband & Father | Co-Founder of My Town Construction | Co-Founder of My Town Advisors | Entrepreneur | Real Estate Investor
True story…. About a month ago, I left a high paying job to take the plunge with my brother into entrepreneurship! Here is what I have learned so far: 1. I don’t like being called a boss. I would rather my team refer to me as their partner. To many leaders think of themselves above others, and that they must be served by their ‘underlings.’ The truth is: you serve your people! 2. Great teams are not just built by finding the most talented people, but rather investing in the RIGHT people. I choose to work with people who are teachable and that want to do great things. True talent is a focus on effort and consistency spread out over a long period of time. 3. I want to transform the construction industry. I have had the priveledge of speaking with so many homeowners and business owners recently. The primary issues I hear are - unreliable contractors, long wait times, and a lack of accountability. My Town Construction is NOT perfect, but we are invested in getting better everyday! Our team is committed to getting better everyday. I am committed to getting better everyday. I am honored to serve this community and to bring visions into reality. So here is my sales pitch today: How can My Town Construction be of value to you? #learning #growing #committedtoexcellence #mytownconstruction #yourtownisourtown
We want to hear your story, see your vision, and partner with you to bring your space, your land, your building, your home to life.
