Important Update Regarding HfH Supportive Housing Needs List We recently shared a list of essential items needed for our residents at Orchid Lake and K-8 Schools. We'd like to clarify an error regarding the most crucial ethnic personal hygiene product currently in demand. Our top priority for ethnic personal hygiene products is SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. We apologize for any confusion caused. Additionally, the asterisk (*) we used on the list is to highlight items that are in especially high demand based on the demographics of the individuals and families we serve. **See the photo above of essential items we're currently collecting** Please Contact Dr. Miriam Moore at miriam@hfhsh.org to donate. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community! Today is the launch of our #LCBAKindness Campaign, a movement dedicated to celebrating and spreading kindness in our communities. Whether you’re an LCBA member or not, we invite everyone to participate in this initiative to promote goodwill and positivity! For every act of kindness shared through our website at www.LCBAlife.org, LCBA will donate $10 to a different charity each month. If you share your act of kindness on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn using the hashtag #LCBAKindness, we’ll double that donation to $20. Together, we can make a real difference, with donations totaling up to $1,000 each month. Simple acts like helping a neighbor, volunteering your time, or sending a thoughtful card can go a long way. Let’s work together to make kindness count! To start the campaign off, we’ll be donating to Feeding America for the month of October. Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks that works to combat hunger and provide meals to those in need. With every $1 donated, they can help provide at least 10 meals to families in need. Your kindness could make a significant impact on the lives of many. It costs $0.00 to be kind, but LCBA will donate $10–$20 for your acts of kindness! 💚 #LCBAKindness #LCBAlife #LCBA #Fraternal #FraternalBenefitSociety #TomorrowTogether #LifeInsurance #LifeInsuranceWithaConscience #DifferentKindofLifeInsurance

3 Reasons To Support Local Charities: 1. Direct Impact on the Community: Donations to local charities have an immediate and visible impact, benefiting your community by addressing needs like education, healthcare, housing, or food security. Supporting local causes helps build a stronger, more vibrant community where everyone can thrive. 2. Personal Connection and Accountability: When you donate locally, you're more likely to see the results of your contributions firsthand. You may have personal ties to the cause or know the people involved, which fosters greater trust, accountability, and transparency in how funds are used. 3. Boosting Local Economy and Civic Engagement: Donating to local charities often strengthens the local economy by creating jobs, funding local projects, and encouraging others to get involved. It also nurtures a sense of civic pride and responsibility, helping to build a culture of generosity and social responsibility close to home. #Appalachia #payitforward #givetoday www.supportappalachia.org

I help major gift fundraisers to multiply results (and have fun doing it) with systems, psychology, sanity, and sacredness.
I write a lot about outputs (strategic fundraising activities) in major gift fundraising. That’s because we are generally in complete control of the activities we undertake on a daily and weekly basis. That said, I do have some specific suggestions for the outcomes that you track in major gift work. Here are a few: 💰 Total amount of donations 💹 Total amount a new donations 🙂 Total amount of recovered donations (ie, 18+ months lapsed) 🫰 Total increased giving from active donors 👪 Total number of major donors 📉 Donor attrition (year over year) 👋 Donation attrition (year over year) If you combine the tracking of these outcomes with the management of strategic outputs, you will have a healthy major gift effort. #majorgifts #outcomes #outputs #strategy #healthy #patience #longburn #fundraising
