Proud of National University Health System and the entire #community of people that made #health a possibility for all! Our sister Singapore General Hospital is #4. All India Institute of Medical Sciences is #3. Singapore and India are the only 2 Asian countries in the top 10 which is dominated by USA. Approximately only 10% of our health is determined by the quality of healthcare. A healthcare system that (a) partners closely with various other sectors to address the #social, #behavioural, and #environmental determinants of health (60%) and (b) is able to harness the power of genetics (30%), can then truly be #transformational to health of the population. Singapore’s recognition as a #bluezone is probably a good indication of how the #complexsystems that produces health has been working pretty well. For instance, the Housing & Development Board housing story is a shining example of how the quality of housing is correlated with the quality of health: https://lnkd.in/gKgkJqsc. No coincidence! As is commonly said, don’t rest on your laurels. We at National University Health System still have lots to improve on. That’s why we even bother to have a “Transformation Office” and all the more we need to work together (no silos, only collaborations) for the health of our people. Onwards and upwards!

Digital access, economic security, and improved health outcomes: investing in digital equity!

We’re intending to fine NCFE £300,000 for failing to develop valid question papers for T Levels in healthcare, healthcare science and science in summer 2022. The breaches include failing to follow processes to develop assessments and having inadequate processes to identify and manage risks that could impact assessment delivery. We took unprecedented action to intervene and instruct the awarding organisation to withdraw, recalculate and reissue around 1,200 students’ results that year. Ofqual Executive Director of Vocational and Technical Qualifications Catherine Large said:  “Students must have confidence in their results, whatever qualification they take. To achieve this, we set legally binding standards for all awarding organisations to adhere to.” Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/eyXHfBmc
