Recruiters really do surprise me sometimes. I saw an internship posting the other day that required "prior knowledge." It made me pause and think—if someone already has experience in the field, would they even want an internship? Aren’t internships supposed to be about learning and gaining that first bit of experience? It’s a bit frustrating to see opportunities meant for newcomers being closed off by criteria like this. We should be encouraging fresh talent to step in and grow, not putting up walls that might keep them out. Internships should be about growth, learning, and opening doors, not closing them.
