There are just a few days left before 2024 ends. The year 2025 is filled with uncertainty for the immigrant community. That is why we need your financial support today so we are prepared to fight for local immigrants, no matter what challenges they face. Based on the ever-changing whims of the new administration, many of our clients risk immediate deportation, and - once again - children could be separated from their families. Your gift will support our clients’ greatest and – now, wildly unpredictable – needs. We will continue to be there to defend the rights of refugees and asylum seekers and advocate for their rightful inclusion in America - just like we did during the first Trump administration. We need your support today to meet the chaos that lies ahead. Help us stand up for immigrants by donating before 2024 ends: https://lnkd.in/eKgUTNab

Hola friends and family!! 🖤 Every day my team works tirelessly to support refugees as they rebuild their lives in safety and with dignity. We provide essential services like resettlement, children and youth services, education, community resources, and psychosocial support to help our new neighbors thrive. But we can't do it alone. This vital work is only possible through the generosity and support of our community. Please consider making a donation which will directly impact the lives of refugees, helping them to overcome the many challenges they face. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference: · $50 can provide two months of bus passes · $100 can cover purchasing a warm meal upon arrival · $200 can cover purchasing a warm bed · $250 can cover a week of groceries · $500 can support multiple family’s utility payments, ensuring they have a safe place to call home. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue our mission to empower refugees and build a stronger, more inclusive community. Please consider making a gift today to support the work of me and my team. Together, we can help refugees not just survive, but also truly thrive. Click this link to donate:

Urgent - this needs to be exposed!! America is facing an existential threat - and one of the biggest groups that's working to destroy our nation is Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities is now making videos saying ‘Phase Two’ has just begun. REPOST for exposure ASAP!! The charities say they want to now help migrants “begin working on our applications to sponsor friends and family”. So let me break this down for you: Phase one: flood and overwhelm the system with millions of illegal immigrants. Phase two: allowing permanent resident aliens called Lappers or people with green cards and United States citizens to sponsor illegal immigrants from foreign nations into America. The end (of America as we know it). #thinblueline #lawenforcement

🏠 Welcoming Legal Newcomers: From Empty Spaces to Cozy Homes 🇺🇸 I'm proud to support Ruth's Refuge, NYC's only organization providing essential home furnishings to legally residing refugees, asylees, and asylum seekers. In 2024, we've furnished over 120 apartments for families who have overcome tremendous obstacles to reach the US through proper legal channels. Why it matters: • These legal residents often struggle to afford basics after securing housing • We transform bare apartments into welcoming homes • Our work supports their successful integration into American society Our impact: • Helped 500+ legally admitted families in the last 5 years • Partnerships with Catholic Charities and HIAS • Every donation directly furnishes apartments for those starting their American dream I'm fundraising for Ruth's Refuge through #BrooklynGives2024. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps these legal newcomers begin their journey with dignity and hope. Want to help? VOICES In our Voices series, we share the stories and opinions from our funded organisations that are helping to find solutions to poverty and trauma in Scotland. The latest organisation is The Welcoming, a Scottish charity dedicated to supporting asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. We spoke with The Welcoming's Chief Executive, Tesfu Gessesse, about how funders can best support their work and what changes they would like to see over the next five years. It was a lovely idea of Sean Jones KC's. All the same — chuffed, humbled, astonished, grateful etc though I am by all the nice things people must have said about me to bring about my promotion to Tier 2 in employment — I'm afraid I won't be donating to Save the Children UK. Why? you ask. How could anyone be such a meanie? The answer is here: https://lnkd.in/gbF5vdGm. Save the Children is advertising itself as fully signed up to a toxic ideology that corrupts and inverts every institution it touches. If you think that's a bit over-excited, have a read of Alabama's amicus brief in USA v AG for Tennessee: https://lnkd.in/gkXgKSwd. It's quite long, but especially if you're new to all this, well worth reading in full. It's a shocking, devastating account of wickedly reckless (at best) harm to children. But if you're short of time, skip to the bit headed "WPATH Recommends Castration as “Medically Necessary” for “Eunuchs" at p.34. Remember that all minimum age limits were removed from WPATH's "Standards of Care 8" at the last minute, at the insistence of the US Department of Health. Then go back to Save the Children's "Trans Inclusion Policy", and have a think about whether you trust Save the Children to do its bit to save children from harm at the hands of this ideology. I know I don't.
First, dear colleagues, congratulations on your wonderful write ups in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners guides. You have every right to be pleased and a bit of humble-bragging will be irresistible. But stop! Have you secured your humble-brag licence? If you have not, that sweet, sweet hit of affirmation could soon sour. Imagine yourself alone in a dark wood, hunted mercilessly by the guilt of having engaged in unlicensed humble-bragging. How have you fallen so low? I'm here to rescue you from all that anguish. Simply make a donation to Save the Children through the Billable Hour Appeal (billablehour.org) and you can continue humbly to share your rankings, your soul untarnished. Turn boasting into help for kids in crisis, whether caught up in conflict or suffering the effects of poverty. This year, I will give a bottle of champagne to the humblest brag by a licensed bragger. Re-posts welcome. As is the merciless hunting down and bringing unto the path of righteousness of your friends, colleagues, rivals and opponents.
