Inspiring visions set by the Tech Hubs. And now the work begins. #publicsectorinnovation #flywheel "...in building a great company or social sector enterprise, there is no single defining action, no grand program, no one killer innovation, no solitary lucky break, no miracle moment. Rather, the process resembles relentlessly pushing a giant, heavy flywheel, turn upon turn, building momentum until a point of breakthrough, and beyond..." https://lnkd.in/e5_Q7Qxt

This is one of my favorite quotes! In the ever-evolving world of technology, we often encounter projects that appear overwhelmingly complex. We've all been there, facing tasks that seem impossible, wrapped in layers of technical intricacies and unknowns. 🚀 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: intricate planning, while essential, can sometimes lead us into a maze of overthinking. We find ourselves caught in a loop of seeking perfection in planning, attempting to foresee every possible scenario. But this approach can paradoxically lead us away from our actual goal. 🌐 In tech, more often than not, the key is to dive in. Start working, start building. It's in the process of doing that we uncover the most valuable insights, those that no amount of preemptive planning can reveal. The landscape of technology is one where learning by doing isn't just a method; it's a necessity. 🧭 The secret? A clearly defined goal. This is our North Star, guiding us through the maze of complexities and uncertainties. With a clear destination in mind, each step we take, no matter how small, moves us closer to turning the 'impossible' into reality. ✨ So, to my fellow innovators, developers, and dreamers in the tech world: 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲. Start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can. Remember, every monumental achievement in technology began with a single step forward, guided by a clear vision. #techinnovation #goalsetting #startdoing #learningbydoing #technology #Innovation #nelsonmandela #motivation

🌍 Unlock the Power of 150 Skilled Developers! 🚀 | Staff Augmentation | Tech Development | AI specialist |
Why are MVPs so powerful? Here are a few reasons: 1. Speed to Market: By focusing on the essentials, MVPs allow teams to launch quickly and start learning from real-world usage. 2. User Feedback: MVPs provide an invaluable opportunity to gather feedback from early adopters, helping teams understand user needs and preferences. 3. Iterative Improvement: With feedback in hand, teams can iterate and improve the product iteratively, ensuring that subsequent versions better meet user needs and market demands. 4. Risk Mitigation: By testing hypotheses early and often, MVPs help mitigate the risk of investing time and resources into a product that may not resonate with users. 5. Cost-Efficiency: Building an MVP is typically less costly than developing a fully-featured product, making it a smart choice for startups and established companies alike. At Cherry Byte Technologies, we've seen firsthand the transformative power of MVPs. By embracing a lean, iterative approach to product development, we've been able to bring innovative solutions to market faster and more efficiently. #mvps #power #product #improvement #efficiency #cherrybytetechnologies

🚀 How GE Used Experimentation to Transform Innovation 🚀 GE might be a legacy giant, but it proved that even the biggest players can innovate fast. With their FastWorks program, GE embraced a lean startup mindset, empowering teams to run rapid experiments, gather real-time customer feedback, and iterate quickly. The result? Faster product development, reduced costs, and greater customer satisfaction. 🔑 Key Learnings: Customer at the Center: GE involved customers from day one, testing prototypes in real-world conditions before scaling. Speed Matters: By cutting traditional processes in half, GE delivered products like refrigerators quicker than ever. Culture Shift: From planning-heavy bureaucracy to agile experimentation, GE transformed how it worked internally—making innovation everyone's responsibility. ⚡ Takeaway: Experimentation isn’t just for startups. Even the biggest companies can unlock new value and growth by embracing a fast-paced, customer-driven approach. 💡 #Innovation #Experimentation #FastWorks #LeanStartup #BusinessGrowth #CorporateInnovation https://lnkd.in/dX7cEAet

"The windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror for a reason" Scenario: Launching a New Tech Startup Imagine you and your team have just launched a tech startup that provides an innovative AI-based solution for automating customer service in small businesses. As the founder, your windshield is expansive and clear, showing the road ahead filled with potential customers, new markets, and technological advancements. #Forward View (Windshield): Market Expansion: You're looking ahead to expanding your services to include not just small businesses but also medium-sized enterprises within the next two years. Product Development: There's a clear view towards developing additional features like multilingual support and integration with major e-commerce platforms, aiming to increase the product's appeal and usability. Investor Relations: You're planning an aggressive pitch to secure Series A funding, focusing on the potential market growth and the innovative aspects of your technology. #Glance Backward (Rearview Mirror): Early Feedback: Shortly after the launch, you encountered significant feedback regarding the AI's responsiveness and accuracy, which was not meeting customer expectations. Initial Funding: You reflect on the bootstrapping phase where budget constraints limited your marketing reach and initial hiring. #Using the Rearview Mirror to Steer Forward: Learning from Feedback: The feedback from your early adopters, viewed through your rearview mirror, informs your forward strategy. You increase your investment in AI development to enhance accuracy and user satisfaction, ensuring the product meets market needs. Adapting Financial Strategies: The lessons from your initial funding challenges influence your approach to the Series A pitch. You develop a more robust financial plan that includes detailed forecasts and clear, achievable milestones to assure potential investors. In this startup scenario, the metaphor of focusing more through the windshield than the rearview mirror emphasizes the importance of staying visionary and proactive about future opportunities and improvements while using past experiences and setbacks as valuable lessons to guide decision-making and strategy refinement. Stay forward-focused and drive your career and business towards new horizons. #Leadership #Innovation #CareerGrowth #LookingAhead #BusinessStrategy

I just realized that I've already spent more than 10,000 hours working in the Product domain 😲 About 8 years ago, my journey in the tech industry started with a pleasant chat over a couple of drinks in Heidelberg Castle (see photo 🙈). There, I had met Ralf Heim as we were both attending a conference of BDSU e.V. I was invited to that conference as a speaker in my role as the Chairman of Verband Deutscher Studierendeninitiativen e.V. (VDSI) - German Association of Student Initiatives. Ralf identified my talents and saw my potential—long before I knew anything about managing tech products. He hired me to work at Fincite Ventures. There, I was mentored by a great Product Leader in the person of Aleksander Groshev, and I learned all the tools and techniques for successful Product Delivery 🏗. During my time at Fincite, I had the opportunity to work on four completely different new product ideas—one of which went on to become a leading Düsseldorf-based tech company: Metalshub. I continued to be part of the Metalshub team during my Master's studies, and working closely with the CEOs Dr. Sebastian Kreft and Dr. Frank Jackel, I picked up a lot about the hard process of building up a successful company with a great team culture. Remember that event in Heidelberg Castle? Well, on that evening, I met not only Ralf but also his friend Thorsten Havemann. A couple of years later, in 2019, Thorsten approached me with the idea of founding Companyon Analytics GmbH as he was looking for someone to lead Product & Tech at this new venture. I was immediately convinced by the great potential of a SaaS-based FP&A solution for SMEs (ugh, a lot of abbreviations—let's put it like this: we're building the Personio for company finances). So, I joined Companyon as Thorsten's first companion (pun intended 😁), built the MVP within 6 months with a great team, and went on to achieve Product-Market Fit in the following 3 years. My learning focus had shifted from Product Delivery to Product Discovery 🕵🏽♂️ (I might talk more about those two concepts in a separate post). Now, with over 500 businesses relying on Companyon, my next mission is to lead our company to Product Excellence and enable fast-paced Product-Led Growth across national borders. For this purpose, my learning focus has shifted again—now to Product Vision & Strategy 🏔. Having accumulated 10,000 hours of Product experience, I feel well-prepared for this journey. But I understand that it takes a lot to achieve mastery on that level and be a successful Product Leader. I will share my learnings, failures, and thoughts along this journey here on LinkedIn. Off to the next 10k! 😊 P.S.: A big thank you to my part-time coach and full-time friend Anesa-Astrid Rusidovic who helped me shape my professional vision.
