President M.I.understanding Experienced in Facilitating Effective and Productive Realtionships l Project development and management l International client relations
Cost should never stand in the way of early intervention, especially when it comes to children's mental health. By providing support to children and their families now, we can create opportunities for them to develop resilience and work together as a community to address this pressing issue. Let's work towards a future where mental health care is accessible to all, regardless of their financial situation. #mentalhealthawareness #earlyintervention #communitysupport
One of the biggest barriers families face when seeking mental health support and resources is cost. (As many as 1 in 5 children and youth in Ontario will experience some form of mental health problem- cmho.org) That's why M.I.understanding programs and resources are available to families and organizations that work with families at no cost. We are able to do that thanks to our partnership with CCOF and community sponsors like General Dynamics. Help us create a community of support for families struggling with children's mental health. miunderstanding.ca

It's #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek. There's a crisis in the mental health of children and young people in the UK, and discussion about how to tackle this often (understandably) focuses on the need for services and support, rather than prevention. But there's one simple thing that can help children to develop the skills and confidence needed to grow up happy and healthy. For children, more playing outside = better mental health! Here's Dr Jennifer Wills Lamacq and Professor Helen Dodd explaining the importance of giving children opportunities for self-directed, adventurous play to the first panel of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities up Inquiry into Children, Young People and the Built Environment. We're hopeful that this important inquiry will lead to positive meaningful change for children in the UK, who desperately need to be safe and welcome to play in the places and spaces where they live.

NOT ALL CAR WRECK INJURIES ARE PHYSICAL. I work with Personal Injury Lawyers to provide top-notch mental pain and trauma relief for car wreck victims. TX, NM, CO, AZ, UT, GA and TN
"Let's talk about something often overlooked: the impact of car wrecks on children's mental health. 🚗💥 It's easy to forget that little ones in the backseat can be deeply affected by the trauma of an accident. From anxiety and nightmares to behavioral changes and academic struggles, the repercussions can be profound and long-lasting. As caregivers, educators, and community members, it's crucial that we recognize and address the emotional toll that car wrecks can take on children. Providing a supportive environment, open communication, and access to professional help can make all the difference in helping our youngest cope and thrive after such a frightening experience. Let's work together to raise awareness and support for the mental well-being of children impacted by car wrecks. Every child deserves the opportunity to heal and grow resilient in the face of adversity. #ChildMentalHealth #CarWrecks #SupportAndHealing" #personalinjurylaw #personalinjury #personalinjurylawyer

On World Mental Health Day, we're reminded that mental health is vital at every age — including for children facing the overwhelming experience of hospitalization. Being in the hospital can be a stressful and scary time for kids, impacting not only their physical health but their emotional well-being too. At enCourage Kids, we recognize that healing goes beyond medicine. That’s why we fund programs specifically designed to support children's mental and emotional health during their hospital stay. From art therapy and music sessions that provide creative outlets, to facility dogs who offer unconditional comfort, and play therapy that helps children express their feelings, these programs are critical to helping young patients cope with fear, anxiety, and loneliness. We believe that every child deserves access to emotional support as they navigate their medical journey, and we're committed to making that a reality. With your help, we can ensure that more children receive the resources they need to feel emotionally cared for and empowered while they heal. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthForKids #HealingBeyondMedicine #EmotionalWellbeing #enCourageKids #SupportKids
