Burnout from your job is tough. But the burnout from the job process can undoubtedly be just as tough. Constant rejection and things not working out can lead to self-doubt. One tip is the set your expectations early. You're not going to hear back from a lot of your applications (wrong, I know,) let alone get an interview from every one. So focus on the right and main thing when job searching. Yourself Get support! Feeling all the emotions throughout the job search when alone can be even harder. Whether that is friends, family, a community, or other job seekers. Ensure you are also having time away from the job search. It's not healthy! #JobSearch #Burnout #Hiring

Biggest candidate's struggle right now? 😖 Trying their best to keep their heads above the water. 🌊 Keeping up and continuing despite constant rejections, application obstacles, uncertainties, and job opportunity shortages. I've had several conversations with my network connections for the past 3 months and I'm concerned.... The current job market is not treating candidates fairly, leaving them with anxiety, job search burnout, and lots of frustration due to mistreatment from the hiring side. Dear Candidates, I can't heal the whole market and recruitment processes but I can offer my perspective and a chat if you need to talk to someone. My DMs are open and here are a few thoughts I can share already: ⚓ Looking for any tips from people online, check their credentials, make sure they are at least related to the specific field. ⚓ Avoid recruitment tips related to controversial content, usually, they serve only one purpose - attention. ⚓ Simple CV format, tracking your applications, and quick research before the interviews - that's the minimum I'd recommend. ⚓ LinkedIn is a networking platform. Connect and reach out, you are not risking much and a great opportunity might be a few messages away. ⚓ Try to accept that rejections and ghosting will happen, focus on the things you can control. ⚓ Once you feel burned out and struggle to cope - seek help immediately. Call a friend, chat with a specialist, or use the emergency hotlines for mental health support. Job Search Burnout? Does It Exist?🤔 Oh, yeah! Looking for a job can really wear you down. It's frustrating, it can drag on forever. So, it's no wonder you might even slide into feeling depressed. That's why it's crucial to be mentally ready to handle it. How? Here are three tips to keep burnout in check: 💡 Arrange a timetable. Approach it as if it were a job. Set aside dedicated hours for your search and its tasks. Then switch to something else. 💡 Set targets. For instance, apply to a certain number of jobs each day (using a position-specific resume, personalized cover letter, etc.) and work towards getting interview invitations. 💡 Remember to take breaks. Unwind, recharge, and then dive back into your search! Learn from mistakes and cheer on wins, even the little ones! Let's talk about something we all might be feeling but don't always discuss. Job search fatigue. It's real, it's okay, and most importantly, you're not alone. Constant applications, interviews, and the waiting game can be draining. It's normal to feel a bit overwhelmed. Your mental health is as crucial as your CV! Quick Tips for a Mental Boost: 1️⃣ Self-Love: Be kind to yourself. Job hunting is a journey, not a race. 2️⃣ Smart Boundaries: Set realistic goals and know when to take a breather. Balance is key. 3️⃣ Talk it Out: Share the load with friends, family, or a mentor. You've got a team cheering you on! 4️⃣ Chill Time: Make room for activities you love. Hobbies, walks, or Netflix, whatever keeps you smiling. Why It Matters: Taking care of your mental health isn't a detour; it's the roadmap to success. When people tell you to "take some time off" after being badly damaged in a toxic environment, it's not a cliche. There's a plan to it. You need time to process what the heck just happened to you. You need to figure out what was 100% the fault of others and what may have partially been because you allowed it to happen to you. You must look inside and do a deep dive and look for patterns--are things happening repeatedly? If so, what are they and what can you do to stop them from occurring again? You must heal. You can't risk going back into the workforce a broken person because there's a good chance you'll find yourself in just as bad an environment. Why? Whether it's broken cultures somehow have a gravitational pull toward broken people or things happen in twos, trust me that there's a good chance that if you aren't on a path toward fixing you, you're destined to repeat the problems. You must get "it" all out of your head. Write it all down. All the doubt. All the blame. All the woulda, coulda, shoulda. Put it on paper until you can't think about another scenario. Map it out on paper. Columns titled "what I'm responsible for in what went wrong", "what they're responsible for", "what I'd do differently if I had it to do over again," "what patterns do I see in my career". The great part about it all being “out of your head”? You have finally made sense of it, categorized it, and made purpose of it. And decided what you’ll never do again. That, my friend, is thousands of hours of indecision, sleeplessness and hopelessness saved by a few hard hours of introspection and analysis. Do this step! And, by the way, if you're still healing from the last job, take some time before you start doing job interviews. You'll be glad you waited. I have plenty of additional steps, but these are a good start. You're Not Alone. For many people looking for a job, hearing the question "Tell me about yourself" can make them feel really nervous and stressed. It’s a simple question, but when you're already feeling unsure or anxious, it can be difficult. Suppose: You’re in a job interview. You’ve prepared your answers and researched the company. But when they ask you to talk about yourself, your mind suddenly goes blank. You might feel like your achievements don’t matter or that you’re not good enough to impress the interviewer. To be very honestly desipte of experience still I'm feeling very anxious. This feeling is common, especially if you’ve been out of work for a while or gone through tough times that have affected your confidence. Anxiety and even depression can make it even harder to speak up about yourself because you feel like you’re being judged, and that pressure can be overwhelming. If you feel this way, know that you’re not alone. Many people struggle with this. The key is to take small steps to prepare. Write down the important things you’ve achieved, practice talking with a friend, and try to focus on positive thoughts about yourself. Slowly, you’ll build the confidence to speak about yourself without the fear taking over. Working on your mental health, whether by talking to a therapist, joining a support group, or practicing calming techniques, can also make a big difference. With time, you’ll feel better about sharing your story in a way that shows your strengths and growth.
