Tiamat was first trialled in the Port of Felixstowe in 2020 and 2021, showing significant results. Operating for 12 hours each day, Tiamat showcased an average daily production rate of a staggering 9,800 tonnes of dry solids. This impressive figure, comparable to traditional dredgers, underlines Tiamat's efficiency in covering large spatial areas, setting a new standard in sediment management practices. The Port of Felixstowe trials were a testament to Tiamat's potential to revolutionise the dredging industry. Cost-efficiency is a defining feature of Tiamat's success, with an operational cost similar to a WID but with the capability of replacing a TSHD campaign. Harwich Haven Authority, recognising the transformative impact, announced plans for the integration of Tiamat into regular sediment management practices at the port. The anticipation is met with the expectation of substantial cost savings ranging between 30% and 50%, exemplifying Tiamat's position as a leader in the search for cleaner, greener, and economically efficient dredging solutions. Throwback Thursday! 🌟 Under the theme "Licensed Installation: Autazes Potash Project," Potássio do Brasil's president, Adriano Espeschit, delivered a compelling presentation at the XV Opex Workshop 2024, held on June 11-12 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Organized by Minérios & Minerales magazine, this event brought together industry experts. Adriano Espeschit talk, part of the New Projects panel, outlined the journey of the Potássio Autazes Project in Amazonas, detailing the socio-economic and environmental challenges and commitments, and highlighting the project's significance on both national and global scales. The project, aimed at producing potash in Autazes, has already secured 12 licenses and authorizations from IPAAM, paving the way for various direct and indirect activities, and creating opportunities for Autazes and its surroundings. The construction phase is expected to generate 2,600 direct jobs over four and a half years. Once operational, it will create 1,300 direct and 16,000 indirect jobs, with up to 80% local labor. The production of Autazes will meet 20% of Brazil’s agricultural potash needs, averaging 2.2 million tons of potassium chloride annually.
