What can you build with just prompt engineering and a little math? Tonight at Highline Beta, Dwayne Forde gave an excellent presentation on implementing AI to streamline cap table management. My key takeaways were 1. Implement the minimum and simplest tech you need to solve a problem 2. Prompt engineering is very powerful with the correct systems in place 3. Controlling the variability of AI outputs is crucial I also had the opportunity to meet some great people in the Toronto startup ecosystem. Shoutout to Josh Lokko for teaching me about corporate law, Allan Chen, Six Sigma Black Belt, CSPO, SAFe 6 for insights on TD's automation initiatives and bureaucracy, Probal Lala for a crash course on Canadian angels and Exempt Market Dealers, and everyone else who taught me something interesting about their work.
