This week 20 leading ecosystem builders from 13 European countries came together in the second #RiseEurope Summit in Madrid and Segovia, hosted by @iescitech. The goal was to define the next steps and strategy for vision in Europe 2030 of the second year of Rise Europe to empower and support European tech start-ups. Rise Europe’s goals are for Europe to become the best place to grow the new economy by contributing one third of global solutions, specifically, specifically ⅓ of startups, ⅓ of scaleups, ⅓ of unicorns. Rise Europe vision is to transforming Europe from a world leader in research to a world leader in economic, societal, and environmental impact, while carrying on as the best place to live and work. Rise Europe is more than a group of visionaries who want to make the best out of European entrepreneurship. 🚀 Dive into the state of Swedish Tech with this must-read report 🇸🇪 In collaboration with Business Sweden, Svenska institutet, Tillväxtverket, Vinnova, and SISP - Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, Dealroom.co has recently unveiled its annual report on the current state of the Swedish startup ecosystem. Here are some key insights: 📈 Swedish startups collectively boast a valuation of 239 billion euros 💼 Contributing to 138,000 jobs worldwide, with 79,000 jobs in Sweden alone 💰 Witnessed a phenomenal doubling in value over the past five years 💡 Impact startups are the driving force, securing 74% of total investments. 🦄 Sweden boasts 41 unicorn startups 🌟 Sverige ranks fourth in Europe for innovation ecosystems, trailing only behind the UK, France, and Germany. 🔝 Sweden tops the charts for investment per capita among European ecosystems. "Impact is one of Sweden's startups' absolute strongest areas, and this is confirmed in the figures seen in this report.
