The I-Beam marketer powers all of their results with a strong data foundation. We’re committed to providing that foundation and are constantly blown away by what our users have been able to achieve with their data.
You’ve probably seen terms like “full-stack marketer” or the “T-shaped marketer.” Today, I’m introducing a new concept: The I-Beam Marketer. The key thing that differentiates great marketers from good ones is data. Effective marketing depends on data-driven personalization, analysis and insights, segmentation, triggered behaviors, and more. The modern marketer simply can't be successful without a strong data foundation. An I-Beam marketer can access, analyze, and act on their data. Whether that’s through skills like SQL, or self-serve tooling like Hightouch, this is the key to their effectiveness. I’ve been lucky to work with many next-generation leaders in marketing who fit the bill here— such as Austin Hay, Jacqueline Freedman 🦋, and Rob McElroy. I’ve shared much more depth about the I-Beam marketer here: https://lnkd.in/d7UK3gq7. I’d love to hear from you: have I got it right? Is the I-Beam marketer the future? Who are the best I-Beam marketers you’ve worked with?
