INDIA 🇮🇳 HAS JUST CREATED HISTORY!! 🛐 ISRO has successfully docked SpaDeX satellites SpaDeX 01 and SpaDeX 02. This makes India the 4th country after US, China and Russia to demonstrate docking in space.🥳🥳🎊🎊 This Docking was so precise, that they were going at 8 mm/sec speed in the final phase. This speed is extremely difficult to control especially with very light spacecraft of SpaDeX mission. #ISRO #SPADEX

India is gearing up to test its indigenous electric thrusters in December, a technology that will enable satellites to reach their desired orbit while making spacecraft lighter and more efficient. This breakthrough is courtesy of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), with Chairman S. Somanath announcing the launch of the first Technology Demonstrator Satellite (TDS-01) that utilizes domestically developed electric propulsion. The TDS-01 satellite will not only demonstrate the capabilities of electric thrusters but also showcase indigenously built traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs). This launch marks a significant milestone in India's space research and development, paving the way for a more efficient and lightweight spacecraft. This mission, powered by NSIL and ISRO's engineering excellence, reflects the strength of international collaboration. Proba-3, an innovative mission designed to study the Sun’s corona through precise formation flying, will now lift off from India’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre aboard a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-XL). Aditya-L1 Mission: Completion of First Halo Orbit On July 2, 2024, the Aditya-L1 spacecraft completed its first halo orbit around the Sun-Earth L1 point. Launched on September 2, 2023, and inserted into its targeted halo orbit on January 6, 2024, the Indian solar observatory orbits the L1 point in 178 days. During its journey, Aditya-L1 experienced various perturbing forces, necessitating station-keeping maneuvers on February 22 and June 7 to maintain its orbit. Today’s third station-keeping maneuver ensured the spacecraft's transition into the second halo orbit around L1. The mission involves modeling complex dynamics, understanding perturbing forces, and executing precise orbit maneuvers, validating the advanced flight dynamics software developed by U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO- ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization. The spacecraft's trajectory, a 3-dimensional path projected onto the X-Y plane, was corrected with the SK#3 maneuver to avoid deviation, ensuring it remains on course.

ISRO successfully launched PSLV-C60 from Sriharikota, carrying the SpaDeX mission. The goal is to show how two small spacecraft can dock in space. The spacecraft, SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target) , will meet and separate in low-Earth orbit. This mission helps India move closer to becoming the fourth country in the world with space docking technology. It’s an important step in India's space journey, as it demonstrates new ways of working in space. The launch went smoothly, and the first stage of the mission performed as expected.
