It's easy to focus on goals, deadlines, and outcomes. Did you know that gratitude actually increases productivity, not to mention people psychology? Gratitude is actually altitude. An attitude of gratitude isn’t just a feel-good concept—it’s a powerful mindset that transforms how we lead, collaborate, and innovate. Creating a culture of gratitude establishes a reciprocal dynamic within the workplace. This type of environment encourages leaders to seek input and feedback from employees about their experiences of being appreciated, valued, and respected. When employees feel genuinely engaged, they often respond with increased collaboration, innovative thinking, and a deeper investment of energy, resulting in greater overall productivity. During times of disruption and uncertainty, gratitude helps alleviate stress and fear, fostering team resilience through a strong foundation of trust. It’s not just about saying "thank you"—it’s about showing it in our actions, decisions, and commitments. Take a moment to appreciate the people, opportunities, and lessons that enrich our work and lives. Gratitude is a ripple effect—let’s start waves of positivity in action! Wishing you all a beautiful holiday season. See you in 2025! #Gratitude #Leadership #ThankYou #motivation #psychologicalsafety #productivity #teams #emotionalintelligence #corporateculture

💡It’s that time of year where many organisations are restructuring, people are reviewing their current career choice and many people are feeling a bit burnt out. It is also that time of year where many of us get caught up in the ‘doing’ opposed to the ‘being’ and the focus on people gets missed. A key reason many people leave organisations is the lack of appreciation & recognition. Many organisations are performance-based and look at gratitude and self-reflective time as indulgent. The reality is that workplaces need to create a culture of gratitude. Within and outside the workplace it doesn’t take much to make others feel valued and appreciated. In today’s ever-changing workplace, gratitude makes people feel good; it reinforces the positives and drives motivation and resilience through support and encouragement. ✅Here are a few ideas for expressing gratitude in the workplace: • During team meetings, share what each of you has learnt and enjoyed from working with each other. • Ask: Who and what are you grateful for? • Send surprise emails to others expressing appreciation. • Adopt the 3:1 ratio- for every negative share, three positives. • Create a forum to share internal updates and encourage people to share. I know a leader who is under pressure to perform and meet a stretch goal. She is burning the candle at both ends and her team is right along side of her. "Jane" is too busy to see that not only is she on the verge of burnout, but her team is as well. A step back and acknowledgement of gratitude for what is going right instead of always pushing for the next goal would go a long way in encouraging her team and reminding herself of how far they have come even though they are still climbing. In today's fast-paced business world, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of busyness. But what happens when our relentless pursuit of productivity gets in the way of something as essential as #gratitude? As a result, team members may start to feel undervalued and unacknowledged, leading to decreased morale and engagement. Despite their best efforts, they begin to question whether their work truly matters in the grand scheme of things. Meanwhile, Jane's focus on productivity blinds her to the opportunities for gratitude in the everyday small wins. But what if Jane took a step back from the chaos of her daily routine? What if she paused to reflect on the contributions of her team members and express genuine appreciation for their hard work? Who do you need to show gratitude to today? After all, a little appreciation can go a long way in building a happier, more productive workplace. #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeEngagement #Leadership

#Empathy in the #Workplace starts first with YOU! It starts with giving empathy to yourself FIRST! [ 👇 Empathy Practice 👇 ] In order to extend empathy to your team or build a company culture around empathy, you must first experience what empathy feels like yourself. From here, you can model it, extend empathy to your team, and create practices that build an empathetic culture. Empathy begins with SELF-#COMPASSION. Here's a PRACTICE you can try: How can you give yourself a break today, just a little grace? For a moment, take a break from the negative story loop and replace it with something you are grateful for. What miracle occurred today that you are grateful for? Go ahead look! This changes the state of the brain to focus on the positive, directing positive energy toward self, changing your outlook and perspective. How can this positive state carry into how you show up with others? Once you've done this with yourself, you apply it to others. For example, before a meeting, think about what are you grateful for about a colleague, a direct report, a relationship, or your boss? From here, you will be able to show up in an appreciative state which people will feel and notice. Working and creating from this space vs. scarcity or fear creates such better environment to create in, plus productivity and outcomes are improved and happen with greater ease. Feeling frustrated at work lately? Here’s what might be happening ⤵️ When dissatisfaction creeps in, you might sense that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t pinpoint it. Things just feel different, and not in a good way. Often, this feeling comes from a mismatch between your values and your workplace. Consider these possibilities: 🤷♀️ Your sense of work-home balance has become work-home conflict 🤷♀️ You’re not feeling valued for your efforts 🤷♀️ You’re being asked to take on tasks that don’t reflect your seniority 🤷♀️ You find yourself disagreeing with your fellow Board members Such feelings can arise due to: 👉 Changes in company structure - have you been "restructured" lately? 👉 Shifts in strategic direction by the Board 👉 New Board members upsetting the team dynamic Understanding your values is essential. It helps you determine whether your work supports or conflicts with what matters to you. Values serve as your guiding principle - your "North Star" by which you navigate your way through your work. So, if you’re sensing something is off, take a moment to reflect. It might be time to make some changes. Let your values guide your actions. #values #purposedriven #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #bethechange
