Molding Consensus: Where True Leadership Begins Celebrating MLK: True leadership is not about wielding authority; it's about inspiring others to dream bigger and act bolder. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.' Leadership isn’t about standing above others; it’s about standing with them, guiding them toward a shared vision of greatness. So, ask yourself: Are you shaping the consensus, or are you waiting for it to form? The time to lead with purpose is now. #LeadershipMatters #InspiredLeadership #VisionInAction

Sharing this conversation for MLK Day.
The intersection of #Inauguration Day of our 47th President and the celebration of the incredible legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., offers us all a moment to reflect on leadership – both past and present. At Ascend at The Aspen Institute, we collaborate with our Fellows, Network Partners, and communities across the county every day to redefine #leadership and social #trust that leads to family #prosperity and well-being. Part of this work means taking opportunities to draw on lessons from past leaders, including Dr. King. Today, we celebrate Dr. King’s example of leadership by elevating last year’s inspiring conversation between Aspen Institute Vice President and Ascend Founder and Executive Director Anne Mosle, Ascend Fellow Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, and Jonathan Eig, author of “King: A Life.” The lessons on courage, leadership, and perseverance highlighted by Dr. King’s actions are still – or perhaps especially – resonant today. We invite you to take some time this Martin Luther King Jr. Day to tune in here: https://lnkd.in/gaiEVjhF
