Hillsborough County’s Post

Creativity meets community for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade! 🎨💙 Our Hillsborough County Waste Reduction and Recycling Team was tasked with creating an art installation for this year's parade float. Thanks to a collaboration with Creative Junk Therapy and Dowdell Middle School, local students turned waste into art to create this inspiring 3D mural as a tribute to Dr. King. Wow! What an incredible way to honor Dr. King's legacy. his artwork not only honors his memory but also demonstrates how collective effort can turn waste into something truly powerful and inspiring.  Extending the impact of this inspiring art piece sould be mandatory.PlacingThis in a prominent public space like a downtown lobby or creative institution would indeed amplify its message. Kudos to the Hillsborough County Waste Reduction and Recycling Team, Creative Junk Therapy, and Dowdell Middle School students!!!!! Tampa Museum of Art Tampa Bay Business Coalition for the Arts
