A simple solution to a global problem. Summer is extremely hot in India. Especially in Southern and Western parts of the country. Walking barefoot in the scorching sun is impossible. So what do you do when you are not supposed to enter a temple with your footwear on? A few temples paint the walking path with white colour. White being one of the best reflectors of heat ensures that the walking path remains cool even at 45 degrees. I have seen this firsthand in temples across Gujarat and Tamil Nadu and this solution is extremely effective. A genuis, cost effective and mind blowing idea. Below is the picture of Thyagarajaswamy Temple in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu #idea #creativity #simple #LinkedIn #AGKiSunoji

Fidelix Industries | Director of Business | We manufacture High-Quality Safety - PPE, Footwear & Equipment For Domestic & Global Market |
The world is looking at India for leather & footwear manufacturing! As global brands explore China plus one strategy, India is in the spotlight for most companies. Today, the Indian footwear industry's size is $18 billion where exports consist of $5-$6 billion. India has 7 clusters in this industry: Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana and UP. This sector employs more than 44 Lakh people, out of them 40% are women. Here are 3 signs why India is the focus of more top leaders and companies: 1. Though 80% of non-leather products are manufactured in China, Vietnam and Indonesia, India is reaching the top ranks steadily. 2. Due to India’s infrastructure, manpower and government policies, brands like Nike, Columbia and Crocs are manufacturing in the country. adidas and PUMA Group are also on the list. 3. Tamil Nadu has become the centre of the sector for a long time. India’s leather, footwear and leather products industry is set to grow to $47 billion by 2030. In the next 7 years, this sector will provide 20 Lakh jobs which will increase more! Do you predict the same? Will India be able to become one of the global leaders in the industry one day? #india #footwear #manufacturing #brand #jobs

what is the future of shoe industry in India? Irrespective of fashion fomal as well sports shoes. Demands are marginal than produced Quantity. when we have started our carrier in the year 1989 the market was boom esspecially in exports markets . But now it has clearly shown the orders are diverted to other countries like Bangladesh. Reason behind our government policies as well business policies changes from factory oweners as well. only remains domestic markets. Mainly companies remains alive on domestic market & facing huge competitions. Even companies are sailing shoes on 70℅ Discount. On previous time factory made the shoes on make to order basis now the business policies has changed.

BriefCASE - Khadims, Bharat's best foot forward ~ From its humble beginnings as a small shoe store in Chitpur, Kolkata, Khadim’s has evolved into a formidable name in the Indian footwear industry. The story of Khadim’s is one of transformation, resilience, and strategic innovation, marking its presence as the second-largest retailer of footwear in the country. ~ The Genesis and Growth: Khadim’s traces its roots back to 1965 when Satya Prasad Roy Burman acquired a modest footwear store named KM Khadim & Company. It was the vision of Mr. Burman that propelled Khadim’s from a wholesale business to a retail giant, opening its first exclusive retail store in 1993. Today, Khadim’s boasts a vast network of branded exclusive retail stores across the nation, a testament to its robust expansion strategy. ~ Unique Selling Propositions (USPs): Khadim’s has always been attuned to the needs of ‘Bharat’ - the real India that resides in tier-two and tier-three cities. Its USPs lie in its affordable pricing, with nearly 80 percent of its SKUs priced below Rs 1000, and a product range that resonates with the aspirations and lifestyles of its target demographic. Khadim’s has successfully positioned itself as a brand that offers style, comfort, and value for money, making it a preferred choice for millions. ~ Navigating Through Challenges: The journey hasn’t been devoid of challenges, but Khadim’s has shown remarkable agility in overcoming them. During times when customer footfall in stores was a challenge, Khadim’s launched innovative initiatives like ‘On The Go’ - a mobile store, and ‘Hot Spot’ - a campaign to ensure customer safety through shoe sanitizers and masks. These efforts not only addressed the immediate concerns but also reinforced Khadim’s commitment to its customers. ~ The Road Ahead: As Khadim’s continues to grow, it remains focused on its core philosophy of serving the underserved, leveraging technology and innovative marketing strategies to enhance customer experience and value. The brand’s resilience in the face of adversity and its ability to adapt and thrive is a narrative that will inspire many more chapters in the annals of Indian retail history. #imnuniche #nichethemarketingclub #khadimniche #SatyaPrasadRoyBurmanNiche #NicheBriefcase #Casestudy #footwear #casestudymarketing #indianbusiness

Co-founder & CEO at FindMyLeather.com & LeatherNews.org | Leather Technologist | I talk about Global Leather, Footwear & Leather Goods Industry News, Updates & Insights in a Simplified Manner
Did you know that the Indian Leather Industry has around 2890 exporters, with a significant 839 of them based in the southern region alone, representing about 29.03% of the overall exporter share? Breaking down the composition further, among these exporters, Exporters by type: ▪ Manufacturers: 2,149 exporters (74.36%) ▪ Merchant Exporters: 741 exporters (25.64%) In FY22, Indian Leather exports reached US$ 4.42 Billion, and If we distribute this value among the exporters, Export Value: ▪ FY 2021-2022: US$ 4.42 Billion ▪ Average contribution per exporter: US$ 1.5 Million With recent investments totaling US$ 600 Million through FDI in a footwear park in Tamil Nadu's Perambalur District, I believe the number of manufacturer exporters, especially in the footwear sector, has increased in the current financial year and FY23. If you take a closer look at the chart, ▪ Leather goods: 769 Exporters (26.6%) ▪ Finished Leather: 767 Exporters (26.5%) Both these sectors have the highest number of exporters among all the other sectors within the Indian Leather Industry and despite this, growth in both of these sectors has stagnated over the last two financial years. Question for you ❓ Do you think the pre-pandemic numbers of Indian Leather Industry exporters were higher than this? Let me know in the comment section #leatherindustry #exports #footwear #manufacturing #globaltrade
