Yesterday I was at the Portland Business Journal's 40 under 40 awards and broke the news that Eric Liedtke, former Adidas brand president, and Noel Kinder, former NIKE chief sustainability officer, are joining the board of the Made in Old Town project, creating a green manufacturing campus for footwear and apparel right here in Old Town, Portland. The room erupted in applause, and that's a testament to how this city responds when industry actually comes together to help this city rebuild. We're going to create a sustainable innovation campus the envy of the world.
