🤖 Week 2 of my Grade 12 Final CPT: Building a Self-Driving Robot 🚀
This week, I made significant progress in my self-driving robot project. Here’s a summary of my accomplishments:
Line Follower Assignment:
Our CPT project involved following a randomized path with our robot. My assigned location was 3A1.
To achieve this, I programmed the robot to:
- Move forward for 2500 milliseconds toward the letter A.
- Execute a precise 90-degree clockwise turn to align with the letter.
- Advance for 700 milliseconds and come to a halt at the letter A.
- Continue moving forward for 5800 milliseconds until reaching the designated location marked as 1.
Ultrasonic Sensor Testing:
- I mounted an ultrasonic sensor on the front of the robot’s base plate and connected it to the Arduino.
- Using pin 10 as the trigger output and pin A0 for echo input, I measured the approximate distance in front of the sensor.
- Leveraging this distance data, I programmed three LEDs to provide real-time feedback on object proximity.
