🧠 In my thesis, I focus on how data streams could influence the decision-making of agents in processes. In particular, external data streams describing the contextual situation surrounding a process execution. As such, much of my work uses decision mining techniques from the field of process mining. In this recent publication, we focused on the comparison of decision mining outcomes. 📝 In this paper, we propose a general theory that abstracts from the representation of the decision mining outcomes (these are usually Petri nets with data). Then, using a transition tree as our intermediate representation, we focus on how traces traverse the tree to understand the diagnostic behaviour of guards introduced by the decision mining technique. These traversals result in several types of ‘bookkeeping’ that allow us to propose general properties for conformance checking of decision mining outcomes. 📽 As a quick summary of the paper, the video below explores our approach and the proposed axioms for conformance checking of decision mining. 📢 This work has been accepted for publication in IEEE Access 📖 (Open Access), and our accepted author version is available on IEEExplore right now! Check out our paper in detail here: https://lnkd.in/e--yxBBP. This work would not have been possible without my fantastic co-author team: Arthur ter Hofstede, Sander Leemans, Felix M., Robert Andrews, and Moe Thandar Wynn. #qut #processscience #processmining #conformancechecking #decisionmining #tue #rwth
