Hi there. I'm Greg Burton, senior contracting and housing manager for the HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition. So what that means is that I handle the hotel experience during conference today. Let's talk a little bit about what goes into conference housing and what makes a great housing program. So imagine you're planning a big conference. It's not just about booking a hotel room. You've got to think about everyone involved, the cities, the hotels, and of course all the attendees and exhibitors. Now, cities love big conferences. The more rooms that you fill, the better dates and space they'll offer their convention centers. So you've got to find those perfect hotels with all the right amenities at a price that's a real deal for the conference goers. And the hotels, they're all about having a full house, so you've got to know your stuff and block the right number of rooms each night based on your history. Get it right and you'll see a lively hotel with restaurants and bars full of people showing off this conference badges. And don't forget about the attendees. They've all got different budgets and needs. So you've got to strike deals with all sorts of hotels to meet everyone's diverse expectations. And we get the right mix of people in the hotels. That's when the magic happens. You've got the unexpected connections. That's the real reason that people come to these conferences. And of course, always expect the unexpected. Like that time in Orlando when the weather shut the airport down on a busy arrival night. That's when having a top notch housing vendor really pays off. They were ready to communicate to hotels and reassure guests they'd have a room when they finally arrived. Now that's what I call great!
