I was beyond impressed when I first visited Felix Nensa's Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the Universitätsmedizin Essen. I learned so much about how they are leveraging #interoperability of all hospital systems to improve and future-proof patient care 🏥 The team around Dr. René Hosch is making use of the vast #FHIR-data repository to develop generalizable AI models for potential medical applications that are not only suitable for specific locations or institutions but also easily transferable.
