Lakshya plays with so much patience and was about to win the opening game 20-17, when he lost patience and the great Den made a comeback. Then he became unstoppable in the 2nd game. Anyway a great learning for all of us on how to finish the good work. Personally I got very much disappointed as Lakshay deserve win
Competing in the Olympics is undeniably challenging, but achieving gold as a para-athlete often comes with an entirely different set of obstacles that make it a monumental feat. For a para-athlete, the physical disability is just one of many hurdles.
First, there's the emotional and psychological challenge of accepting their disability. Then, they often face a lack of understanding or support from family, relatives, and neighbors who may not treat them like everyone else. Additionally, they must deal with the pervasive sympathy and even sarcastic remarks that can be more disheartening than encouraging.
Overcoming these societal attitudes and deciding to pursue sports to prove their worth requires incredible mental strength. From there, the physical challenges begin – with rigorous training, repeated failures, and the constant threat of demotivation. Yet, despite all this, a para-athlete’s determination to succeed drives them forward.
Winning a medal under such circumstances is beyond precious; it represents an indomitable spirit and a triumph that words can scarcely capture.👏🙌

Couldn’t agree more to what our badminton superstar, Chirag Shetty says. We as a country fail to appreciate non-cricket sports & the magnanimity of achievements of our athletes in those sports.

Ball badminton is a racket sport that originated in India and shares similarities with traditional badminton but is played with a different type of shuttlecock and on a smaller court. In ball badminton, players use a smaller, heavier shuttlecock called a "ball" and play on a court divided by a net, similar to badminton.
The game is typically played by two teams, each consisting of either one player (singles) or two players (doubles). The objective is to hit the ball over the net and into the opponent's court in such a way that they cannot return it within the rules. Points are scored when the opponent fails to return the ball successfully.
Ball badminton requires agility, speed, and hand-eye coordination, as players must quickly react to the movements of the ball and their opponents. It is popular in India and some other Asian countries, with organized competitions and leagues held at various levels.
