On the occasion of #WorldNGODay today (27th Feb) coinciding with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) observing #FinancialLiteracyWeek from 26th February to 1st March, Sharada Educational Trust pledges to create more impact towards the #FinancialLiteracy initiative in the coming days.
Our #𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 program launched in February 2023, has not just impacted 160 𝐫𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 but has also impacted more than 100 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫-𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, covering 4 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐚 within a span of just 1 year. The indirect beneficiaries could be more than 500.
#𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 for rural kids (age group 8 to 14) doesn't involve "black-board" based teaching ... but through 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳, students are taught the importance of a) Savings, b) Bank account, c) Insurance (life/ accident / health) and basic Finance.
The #𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 program for rural and urban women is aimed at #𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 of the economically weaker section of our society. In addition to disseminating information about the various Govt. schemes, we also ensure “last mile” support i.e. opening a Bank account and applying for various Govt. schemes, through tie-ups with IDBI Bank and SBI.
