Let’s talk about EV wiring: EVs contain wires with low-voltage or high-voltage wiring. Low-voltage wires are usually black in color and don't pose much of a safety risk. High-voltage wires can be identified by their bright orange color and can be extremely dangerous if not handled properly. The orange color is a clear warning sign that they carry potentially deadly electrical currents. These high-voltage cables are essential for powering the vehicle’s electric motors and battery system. When working on an EV, use precautions and safety gear around high-voltage components. Remember, safety is always first! #EVWednesday #EV #SafetyCompliance #EHSCompliance

As per ABC News (Australia), fires caused by EVs need more water to be extinguished than those caused by IC engine vehicles. Fire accidents in Electric Vehicles using lithium-ion batteries occur due to frequent charging, resulting in internal short circuits caused by lessening of effective distance between electrodes. Insulation withstand voltage of #LithiumIonBatteries need to be tested by checking the distance between electrodes, instead of insulation resistance, at a voltage higher than 350V. Besides, self-discharge caused by leakage current inside the separator also needs to be tested at a lower testing voltage. To solve this, we bring you the unique electrical #FlashoverDetection technology of the #Chroma11210 #BatteryInsulation Tester with built-in +flash test. For More Info: https://zurl.co/KTF8

Ensuring Safety: Essential Charging Practices for Electric Vehicle Owners As the use of both private and commercial electric vehicles increases, ensuring safe charging practices is essential to prevent electric shock and fire hazards. Here are some key guidelines for electric vehicle (EV) drivers: Safe EV Charging Practices: 1. Use Certified Charging Equipment: Always use charging cables and equipment certified by the manufacturer or reputable organisations. This ensures compatibility and safety. 2. Inspect Charging Equipment Regularly: Before charging, inspect the cables, plugs, and connectors for any signs of damage or wear. Replace any damaged components immediately. 3. Avoid Overloading Circuits: Plug your EV charger into a dedicated circuit to avoid overloading. Overloading can lead to overheating and potential fire hazards. 4. Keep Charging Areas Dry: Ensure the charging area is dry and protected from rain or water. Moisture can increase the risk of electric shock. 5. Follow Manufacturer's Instructions: Adhere to the charging instructions provided by your EV manufacturer to ensure safe and efficient charging. 6. Monitor Charging: Keep an eye on the charging process. If you notice unusual smells, smoke, or excessive heat, stop charging immediately and seek professional assistance. #EVChargingSafety #ElectricVehicles #EV #ElectricAutoRickshaw #EVSafety #EVCharger #EVSE #SustainableTransport #ElectricVehicles
