Fantastic to see the Global Responsibility Competency Compass self-assessment tool in action by the Expedition Engineering Ltd team below! The self-assessment tool is designed to help you identify your strengths and growth areas for practising globally responsible engineering. As you use the tool, reflect on what the results mean for your own work and practice. Why not explore your results together with your teams? Individuals bring their own strengths, values and competencies - that's where the power of teams and co-creative approaches comes in. The self-assessment tool is in beta stage. We are interested in your experience using the tool and how it might help your professional development. Your feedback is very important to us and it will help shape this resource. If you have used the self-assessment tool please share your feedback with us here - https://lnkd.in/eKDPidD7 Explore the Compass - https://lnkd.in/eBsT5E3A Access the self-assessment tool. Enjoy free early access until Monday 30 September 2024! - https://lnkd.in/eSaAMYvR Engineers Without Borders UK

In our autumn IPC team meet up at Expedition Engineering Ltd we explored our skillsets using the Global Responsibility Competency Compass self assessment tool which is being tested by Engineers Without Borders UK . The tool is based on their Global Responsibility Competency Compass report which they launched last year which identifies the knowledge, skills and mindsets for engineers looking to have a positive impact through their work. You can see the results of my self assessment in the compass diagram in the image. What does it say about me? I'm not sure and perhaps it would say something else on a different day. But I do feel like it highlights the areas I am looking to develop more in my work. Mainly for me though, it was about the process of asking myself the questions and taking a moment to think and reflect about my work and purpose. I would encourage you to have a read of the report and explore the questions in the self assessment tool. If you're feeling brave then share them too! We have more than a few engineers engaged in the chamber and the work we do. Every one is unique, and every one of them loves to solve a problem! What would we do without them?! Why not thank an engineer by posting a few names here? We’ll follow ITAC’s example. Thank you Derrick Johnson, Denny McDermott, Andy Girvin, Andrew Parker, Kathleen Halpaus, Lorin Sodell to name a few….#engineeringinnovation #BusinessInnovation
We’re celebrating the incredible impact of engineers all week long! This week, we recognize the work and achievements of engineers everywhere and the positive impact they have on society.
