And just like that, it's February! Does anyone know where January went? It's been a crazy few weeks in the recruitment world with clients hiring, recruiters joining agencies, the fight for talent, other rec2rec's getting feisty, it's all been happening. But one key thing I have learnt is the huge emphasis on Business Development this year. The 360 recruiter is back and is here to stay! Having spent the last few weeks speaking with my clients across a number of industries, the main thing they are looking for are recruiters that are not afraid to pick up the phone and start building relationships. Yes my clients have accounts in place, and PSA's you can leverage off, but they want recruiters that want to make their desk their own and build out their brand. You don't have to love doing it, but you have to understand that its an important part of the job and an absolute must if you want to make it in recruitment right now!
