How can GoodWork disrupt the Early Careers landscape? A little behind-the-scenes look at our recent video shoot, where I attempt to explain myself after talking in jargon. Disruptive is an often overused word, but it's one I think we could use more of in early careers. My ambitions for GoodWork are and always have been much bigger than the individual lives we can impact through our programmes. I started GoodWork because I was frustrated by the companies that welcomed in diverse talent for work experience, only to revert to traditional, exclusionary hiring practices when it came to permanent jobs. There is *so* much more we can do to join up the process, offer fairer opportunities and hire inclusively - to everyone's benefit. So I won't be shutting up about any of this any time soon, and plan for GoodWork to be around to hold our partners to higher standards for a long-time to come. And, I'll work on my interviewee skills in the meantime 😇

We have reached the end of the first full work week of 2024! And what a busy week it has been! Stuart Mitchell I think you actually have an outsized impact on the long term success of the team. What I love about what your team at Hampton North does is they prioritze the DNA and culture of the company vs simple placement. That focus on placing the “right fit” leads to higher quality teams that can endure changes to the business and thrive. The people who are placed last longer, get promoted, ect. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐛𝐞𝐞? ❌ Honestly, my limited proficiency in English makes me nervous about working in English more than I've been used to. ❌ The company doesn't have an office (yet). ❌ I've learned that there are always inherent risks and challenges when working in a startup. ❌ Am I certain about changing jobs, especially after just buying an apartment with a mortgage and considering the new job's 6-month trial period?
