DVA is not associated with this job posting Infrastructure Software Engineer https://lnkd.in/gxY2ib7S Our Dropbox Infrastructure Engineering team is passionate about building awesome products at massive scale. We've developed a set of values that enable us to do this. Specifically, we write phenomenal software and sweat the details, focus on impact, and create an enduring culture. Building elegant products begins with lots of hacking and iteration to explore the problem space. It culminates in careful attention to edge cases and error handling, polished code, and great tests to ensure that we ship reliable code that never compromises data integrity or security. Every Dropbox software release improves millions of lives, and you'll find a high petabyte-to-engineer ratio here. We're bold when it comes to shipping high-leverage projects, even if they're risky or novel. We care deeply about collaboration, feedback, and iteration. Trust and respect are deeply rooted in our engineering culture. At the heart of Dropbox lies the largest networked filesystem in history. We routinely tackle audacious challenges, often against competitors who have 10-50x our resources. On top of this foundation, we're crafting products that enable people to do amazing things with their stuff across all their devices. We hope you'll join us! #interview #wearehiring #jobvacancy #applytoday #newjob #opportunity #jobhiring #jobposting #workfromhome #werehiring #cfbr #education #sales #recruitmentagency #customerservice #jobopp #jobfair #jobhunting #recruiters #jobopenings #staffingagency #careerchange #bhfyp #employmentopportunities #motivation #entrepreneur #careeropportunities #dreamjob #marketing #helpwanted

Recent layoffs at giants like Intel (15,000) and Dell (12,500) are a stark reminder of the current climate. What's the biggest hurdle for engineers today? - It's NOT a lack of guidance or resources, but the overwhelming competition for limited opportunities. - Stricter shortlisting criteria are making it even tougher to land that dream job. We believe in the power of community. That's why we’ve created a platform for engineers to connect, share opportunities, and support each other. We are already 𝟱𝟰𝟬+ people opted to join the circle. Want to be part of the solution? Join our community and help us build a stronger tech ecosystem. We’re also looking for volunteers to contribute to our mission. If you or someone you know has recently been impacted by a layoff, this video is a must-watch! In this video, I have shared my personal experience of being impacted by Qualcomm San Diego's layoff in October 2023. I have discussed how did I prepare my resume and interview skills, which ultimately helped me land a new job offer just 2 and a half months after layoff. Check out the video to learn more and gain some valuable insights that could help you in your job search. 😉 PS: I have discussed about few embedded concepts but not in depth though however still people from any tech domain can watch this video. It will be helpful for them as well. #techlayoffs #qualcomm

Themes in Software Engineer hiring right now. (From chats with hiring managers and Talent teams in 2024 who are hiring in Software Engineering) Caution: Whilst it seems we are through the worst of it, and hiring is picking up, budgets remain carefully looked at, and headcount planning is considered and thoughtful. Senior heavy demand: The demand for hands-on Senior ICs and Leads remains strong. But this has come at the expense of management layers above who are being stripped out or just not an area for growth. Relocation opportunities appearing: Last year, many Tech companies slashed relocation allowance budgets and relied on local talent pools. This has been reversed in some larger organisations, but many SMEs are still favoring local searches. Interesting to see how that changes as the market tightens. Still a mixed bag: Our perception is skewed as naturally we only usually speak with companies who are hiring. But there are still layoffs and a lot of pain out there, but it seems very different to the Jan 2023 layoff wave. Most Software Engineers are being absorbed back into companies hiring because the market is able to support it. This is only our take of course. How is everyone else finding it? #Ventellect #softwareengineering #techrecruitment

Is the tech industry experiencing a critical crossroads, or is this just another bump in the road? The recent wave of tech layoffs has been a wake-up call for many in the industry. Intel, Cisco, IBM, and Apple cutting over 27,000 jobs in August alone is staggering. Imagine what these numbers mean for the lives of those involved. Intel's decision to cut 15,000 jobs, coupled with Cisco letting go of 6,000 employees, speaks volumes about the shifting landscape. IBM's move to close its R&D facilities in China, affecting over 1,000 employees, and Apple laying off 100 individuals, show that even the giants are not immune. This surge reflects broader industry challenges; more than 136,000 employees laid off across 422 companies so far this year is alarming. However, we're reminded that this industry is built on resilience and innovation. We’ve seen many companies pivot successfully, creating new opportunities and leveraging the shifting market dynamics. It takes a lot of work. Companies need a proper strategy, the right tools, constant testing, and time. But what are the options? Give up on the tech sector? Or innovate, optimize, and push for better results. Seems like an easy choice to us. Let's keep moving forward Source-https://lnkd.in/gu7WVNiT #TechLayoffs #JobCuts #IndustryTrends #Innovation #Resilience #TechIndustry #CareerOpportunities #WorkplaceChanges #BusinessStrategy #MarketDynamics #Adaptability #ChangeManagement

10(in binary)X engineer on a good day. In a complicated relationship with tech debt and Q1 deliverables
Sad to see some of my former coworkers impacted by the recent Intuit layoffs. They are not only stellar contributors but also culture corner stones that makes coming to work enjoyable. If you are hiring, please don't hesitate to take a chance on them. For any former coworkers directly or indirectly worked with me, if you find any roles https://lnkd.in/d_9VxDuY to your interest, feel free to reach out. FAQ's: - Generally 3 days a week RTO. Needs to relocate to the office associated with the role - Free bananas in Seattle - WLB is team dependent. High learning/Scale roles --> less WLB - PIP exist. You can ask your Hiring Manager to see how they handle it in the past. I have not seen any hire to fire practices
