What makes a good Building Surveyor? This is what stands out to me: - Someone who has come off the tools or a has a degree in building surveying. - Someone with experience in different aspects of surveying, such as planned works, repairs, and contracts management - Someone who hasn't had 10 jobs in the last month! Of course, this isn't always the case. But almost all of the most reputable surveyors in the industry have all three of these factors. Is there anything else to add?

These posts are always hard. How do you make a post that stands out differently in today's super hot job market? Most of these posts feel the same, but here is my Why. I came to love the synergy between our Impetus Building & Infrastructure Teams because they are so different, but are both so rewarding. Being part of something bigger feels great. It's very gratifying seeing the structures our Building group creates, knowing the water/sewer/drainage/site work were all completed by our Infrastructure crews. I've told people this before, being part of something bigger than just shaving and paving Louisiana highways and interstates or putting in municipal utilities checks more boxes in career satisfaction for me. Our Infrastructure group is looking for an estimator to join the Team. This isn't a prison sentence to a cubical and a life of takeoffs. We do things differently over here. Reach out to me, Nathan J. ◼️ Small Projects —> Great Relationships ◼️ Yesterday I was out at the job site of a smaller concrete repair we were doing for a new customer here in DFW. It wasn’t a huge project but it was something that they needed us to move on quickly due to a severe failure. They wanted it done right, completed in a safe manner, and not have to think about that issue after hiring us. A lot of people tend to not want to handle smaller projects like this but we look at it as a unique opportunity to show new and future customers the type of contractor we are. We strive as a company to be set apart and lead the way in every aspect of our business, whether we are on a large project or smaller repair.
