99% of people would walk right past this poster. Why? ❌ The dates are barely visible, you can't evoke any urgency if the show date isn't the first thing people see. ❌ It's generic. This is probably the same poster that your rival school used last year, and your audience won't even realize this is a new event. How do we fix this? ✅ Design it by hand. If you have an artistically inclined student or team member, utilize them! If not, hiring a specialized theatrical designer is your best bet. You spend hundreds and hundreds of hours perfecting your on-stage production, STOP letting something as simple as the poster deter people from coming.

A message to some employers/recruiters: Video Editors are not producers, Camera Operators, Motion Graphics Experts, or Animators. We are Video Editors. If you want a producer, then hire one. If you want a Camera Operator, then hire one. You see where this is going. I will NEVER apply to a posting that is titled Video Editor, then expects you to do every position on production for less than standard of your ACTUAL profession when your job posting clearly states you are looking for ONE position in your title. .. Okay Rant over

Hey, we're TheDBpost — Postproduction & Color Grading Studio, and we're not here to fill you with empty promises or industry jargon. We're a team of colorists, VFX artists, and editors who speak fluent visual language. We don't just fix pixels, we wield them like weapons to sculpt emotions, bend reality, and tell your story with brutal honesty. Sure, we're new on the scene, but don't underestimate the combined decades of experience sitting behind our screens. We're hungry, innovative, and obsessed with pushing boundaries. Think of us as the scrappy underdogs who deliver jaw-dropping results without the inflated price tag. Here's what you get when you work with us: • Color Grading that Pops: We don't mess around with cheap filters. We use light and shadow to tell your story on a deeper level, evoking emotions that resonate with your audience. • VFX that Disappear: Forget cheesy green screens. We seamlessly integrate fantastical elements, making the impossible so believable you'll forget it's not real. • Editing that Cuts Like a Knife: We're not afraid to ruthlessly chop unnecessary scenes and tighten the flow until your story hits. But wait, there's more! We're not just technical wizards. We're collaborators. We listen to your vision, offer honest feedback, and become an extension of your team. We're all about open communication and making your project better than you ever imagined. So, if you're looking for post-production that's: • Unpretentious: We focus on the work, not the hype. • Affordable: We offer competitive rates and flexible packages to fit your budget. • Driven: We're obsessed with pushing boundaries and making your project stand out. Then stop looking and talk to The DB Post. We're not the biggest, but we're the hungriest, most passionate bunch you'll find. Let's take your raw footage and turn it into something unforgettable. Let's be honest, your project deserves better than average. You poured your blood, sweat, and (probably) a few tears into it. Now, it's sitting there, begging for that final polish that elevates it from good to damn good. Ready to get started? Contact us today and let's see what we can create together. The biggest mistake any creative team can make with quick-turn deliverables is not having enough preparation completed in pre-production. I emphasize planning ahead as much as possible because that's where efficiency begins. One way we achieve this with quick-turn videos is by creating a 'string out,' where we can lock in color presets, label key moments, and get client approval on music in advance. This allows us to sequence and prep the project ahead of time. It's essentially the full edit, minus any footage, ensuring everyone understands the energy and flow before cutting it together. For 24-hour edits, a key part of the process is having an on-site Digital Imaging Technician (DIT). Each memory card is labeled with the camera operator's initials, allowing us to track and manage footage seamlessly—no duplicates, no lost shots, no formatting issues, just efficient filmmaking. Our on-site DIT isn't just transferring data; they're also pulling the best shots to create a selects sequence, prepping the project for the lead editor. The lead editor will then take over, and within 24 hours from the start of the event, a completed version of the edit is ready to go live, pending any last-minute client tweaks. For us, this is a true extension of an existing internal creative team, supporting them on all fronts. This recap of St. Louis CITY SC vs. Chicago Fire FC is a prime example of how it all comes together in the end. Behind the scenes, it's non-stop effort and efficiency at its finest! #recap #efficiency #quickturn

Post-production Director with more than 15 years of experience in visual storytelling for corporate communications, advertisement and digital marketing. Editor/sound designer/composer
some of my work as a sound designer. The majority of this work is for animation projects, corporate pieces and outside events. Sound designing is a mesmerizing craft that involves weaving an auditory tapestry to enhance and elevate the storytelling experience. It's a dynamic process that demands an acute understanding of the emotional nuances within a narrative. As a sound designer, my passion for this art form lies in the ability to breathe life into visuals through carefully curated soundscapes. From the delicate rustle of leaves in a serene forest to the thunderous roar of an otherworldly explosion, each sonic element is meticulously chosen to evoke specific emotions and immerse the audience in the cinematic or interactive world. The process is a delicate dance of technical prowess and artistic intuition, requiring an in-depth knowledge of audio engineering, a keen ear for detail, and a boundless creativity. This intricate dance is what fuels my fervor for sound design—a passion that drives me to explore the endless possibilities of audio manipulation and to constantly seek new ways to transport audiences into the realms of imagination through the power of sound.

Video editing is the process in which a video footage is edited in the editor's preferred way to create a complete story. The tasks that are instructed to be done are Correction, Organization, Modifications and Accurate. It is good for everyone in the production to know. This is a post production job. Where all kinds of work including video titles, graphics, color correction, sound mixing, effects are done.
