As an HR professional and, I've seen it all during appraisal season. One thing that never fails to surprise me: suddenly discovering "issues" with dedicated employees right before raises are due. 🤔 "Remember that one time they were 5 minutes late?" "Or the time they took an extra-long lunch?" Seriously? Some managers think these excuses will dodge well-deserved raises. And guess who gets to break the news?
