If your team or department has regular meetings where team members present on what major activity they are working on say for the week, you can introduce a little twist to this reporting procedure and not only report on what you are working on for this week but also report on 1-2 achievements that you accomplished last week based on what you had mentioned you would do then.

Making a GREAT team takes time and dedication. Not just one person can take care of everything but when your whole team can support each other, that’s when you can grow together. Example: When your team can come together, sharing their strengths and weaknesses. Come up with a strategy on how you can be successful together by using each other’s strengths and weaknesses, there isn’t ANYTHING that can stop you!

Make sure you show your team appreciation in small ways and not just big ways. When you are emailing your team updates on projects, take a couple lines in your closing to say a quick thanks. Sometimes that little form of empowerment can go a long way.

Team Charters are documents that define the purpose of the team, how it will work, and what the expected outcomes are. They are "roadmaps" that the team and its sponsors create at the beginning of the journey to make sure that all involved are clear about where they're heading, and to give direction when times get tough.
