NCAA D1 - Football teams in Texas 🇺🇸🏈🤠 "In the American football culture, there’s nothing that can replace college football. Yes, the US has the NFL and the NBA, and even Major League Baseball. These have a global presence. However, if we stop to consider the audience for college football leagues and the level of excitement these matches bring, well, college football is unmatched. College football is part of American culture. It’s played a big role in the history of civil rights in the country. In the 1960s, the football teams in colleges were the first institutions to integrate white and black players. In the past, there were all-white or all-black teams. Sports have the power to unite people, and college football is proof of that." More at: https://lnkd.in/gQFRawJv

Breaking Barriers: A Historic Day for Black Quarterbacks in the NFL Today is a monumental day in NFL history. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Jayden Daniels are competing for a chance at one of sports’ biggest stages: the Superbowl. Had Lamar Jackson and the Ravens advanced, it could have been 4/4—an unprecedented moment in a league where Black quarterbacks once faced immense barriers. For decades, Black quarterbacks endured systemic bias, with their abilities and leadership often doubted, and opportunities limited. Despite these challenges, they have shattered stereotypes and rewritten the narrative through undeniable talent, perseverance, and excellence on and off the field. This moment transcends football. It’s about representation, breaking barriers, and inspiring future generations to dream bigger and aim higher. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come while continuing to push for progress in sports and beyond. The future is bright, and today proves that diversity and excellence go hand in hand. #NFL #PatrickMahomes #JalenHurts #JaydenDaniels #LamarJackson #BlackExcellence #DiversityInSports #BreakingBarriers #RepresentationMatters #Quarterback #Leadership #Inspiration #HistoryInTheMaking #SportsLaw #Sports

🗣️ Let’s talk about diversity in college sports leadership! I recently presented on the Lack of Diversity in NCAA Administration Roles, Power 5 Head Coaching, and HBCU Athletics Funding—and the findings are alarming. With DEI efforts under fire nationwide and a new administration in place, we must ask: 💭 What will a Trump presidency mean for minority coaches and athletics staff? The numbers speak for themselves: • ~10% of NCAA admin roles are held by people of color. • Power 5 head coaching remains overwhelmingly white. • HBCUs face chronic underfunding, limiting their ability to compete. Diverse leadership isn’t just a checkbox—it’s key to inclusivity, innovation, and fairness in college sports. But without action, the progress we’ve made could vanish. 💡 What do you think? How can we protect and advance DEI in sports during these challenging times? #DEI #CollegeSports #Leadership #HBCU #DiversityInSports

College 🏈 Football without a CON-ference💰 Notre Dame’s television deal with NBC is estimated to be worth $50 million annually. The CFP payout of $20 million moves Notre Dame to $70 million annually, nearly identical to the high-rent financial neighborhoods of SEC and Big Ten teams. https://lnkd.in/gXCwj5SU (College Counseling) Bowl Subdivision teams who play in conferences must share their CFP payouts with their conference, and SEC and Big Ten teams will earn an estimated $70 million each. If Notre Dame had joined either of those conferences, it would've had to share its NBC contract, and College Football Playoff proceeds — or likely eliminate the NBC deal altogether. Now the Irish are standing tall and alone once again in the college football landscape. The bonus: they’re one win away from their first national title since 1988.
