The UCI | Center for Digital Transformation's Digital Leadership Agenda continues to raise the bar every year! Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining Ganesh Bell, Managing Director at Insight Partners, on stage to explore the future of #AI in business and what the next wave of innovation holds. Ganesh brought deep insights from the investment and startup world, while I focused on the enterprise perspective. Together, we tackled key questions like: Is it time for the CEO to lead the charge on #AI strategy? How do we truly measure AI's ROI? We also explored the differences between Large Language Models (#LLMs) and Symbolic Logic Models (#SLMs) and other emerging AI variants, along with how leaders should strategically identify and fund the most impactful AI initiatives within their organizations. What made the conversation especially powerful was the intersection of our perspectives—between the startup/venture PE world and the enterprise. We examined how these two spheres can support and augment each other through the topics we covered, offering a more comprehensive view of AI's potential. I left the discussion more curious—and more optimistic—about the future of AI. Hitachi is bringing the power of digital to public transportation across Wales! Check out this great story of how Transport for Wales (TfW) is partnering with Hitachi to drive the mobility transition, digitally connecting modes of transport -- from trains to e-scooter -- to make it easier for passengers to plan and choose public transportation. Over the next five years, Hitachi will deliver a multimodal digital booking system that will include all modes of public transport and be available to customers through a simple, user friendly app. The partnership will transform public transport in Wales, creating a more efficient, connected, and user-friendly network for the future.
