One benefit that caught their attention is the ability to reach a location not in line with the T-Slots. The smaller width tables, like in the machine shown here, don't allow you to keep the vise in the center of the table. This causes issues with having to rig up a stop with toe clamps, angle iron, etc. With the EMT Quick Stop you can easily reach from the closest T-Slot and get to your jaw location.
