After achieving 518 days in operation, the Hydril® Compact BOP stack has now been proactively brought back on deck for its 5-year recertification! Our stack, bolstered by our comprehensive CSA program, and strong collaboration with Diamond Offshore and Woodside Energy, has delivered stellar performance throughout the past 17 months. Not only has it achieved an extraordinary 436 consecutive days subsea, but it has also completed 15 well hops. This accomplishment highlights the exceptional reliability and quality of HMH products and services. This success story is also a reflection of Diamond Offshore's robust risk assessment tools and processes, all while maintaining regulatory compliance. Woodside Energy’s close partnership has been instrumental in this endeavor, showcasing the power of collaboration in achieving operational excellence. Traditionally, leaving a BOP stack subsea for 365 days was considered a significant success. However, through collaborative efforts between the Operator, Drilling Contractor, and OEM, we have harnessed the power of real-time data streaming (HMH SeaLytics®), live analytics (Stack-View™ Service provided by Diamond Offshore in partnership with MR Deepwater Subsea), and digital twin capabilities (Sim-Stack® Service provided by Diamond Offshore in partnership with BRMS – BOP Risk Mitigation Services) to overcome these previously perceived limitations.
