Hoffmann Brothers reposted this
My dad started our business in 1988. He aspired to reach $10 million of revenue during his career. In 2016, he passed the torch at Hoffmann Brothers to my brother Joe and I, having achieved this goal. Here are five invaluable lessons our dad taught us. 1. How you get there matters as much as where you are going. He once was given the option to use eminent domain to take control of an adjacent home to grow our business. Instead, he bought and rehabbed a house across the street and traded for the home we needed. 2. Don't compete on price. Be the best. People pay a premium for the best. 3. Be generous. With your teams. In your communities. It always comes back to you tenfold. 4. Being a business owner doesn't mean you can't be a great (and present) dad. He coached my baseball team. He got home for family dinner (most nights). He spent his weekends with his family. 5. There is always enough time in the day. To take care of yourself. To be with your family. To build a great business. Manage it well. In 2024, our current brands will reach $140 million. ------------ If you're interested in joining Hoffmann Brothers, we have a number of roles we're actively hiring for in both St. Louis and Nashville. My takeaways here: Work to be the best and go about your business the right way (both at work and at home). Great stuff, Chris.

Your dad’s story hits home. When I started my business, I focused on quality over price, and it paid off with loyal clients. Generosity towards my team has built a culture of trust and dedication. Your journey is a powerful reminder to keep striving for balance and excellence!
