We are excited to share the latest issue of the HOK Design Digest! This month’s newsletter is all about designing sports and entertainment venues — and there is something for everyone, including: - How HOK is leading the way in NFL stadium renovations. The transformation of the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars’ stadiums will soon provide their teams and cities with essentially brand-new homes that minimize costs and conserve resources. - The latest in MLS venue design with examples from St. Louis City SC’s wildly successful CITYPARK and New York City FC’s exciting plans to create the city’s first-ever soccer-specific stadium. - The rise of women sports and its impact on venue design. HOK’s female sports venue designers discuss how the momentum in women’s sports is translating to nuanced spaces. - An inside look at HOK’s new “Scrum” tool that is helping designers and clients collaborate on venues in 3D. - Plus, first looks at Edinburgh Park Arena in Scotland and the Salt Lake City Bee’s new ballpark in Utah. Jacksonville's stadium of the future needs to live up to the name and have forward thinking design components - photovoltaic glass for energy generation, an electric micro grid that utilizes low voltage PoE and cables to power lights, signs, TVs, etc., a water cooled VRF system that can serve all of the conditioned areas. All of these things that can make the stadium live up to the name and reduce all around power consumption.
