Since joining Recover Green Roofs in March, I've been on a fascinating journey to revive our e-newsletter. This task, set for my first 90 days, turned out to be an incredible way to dive deep into our company culture, industry trends, and the unique dynamics of our brand. It’s been a whirlwind of learning and connecting with my (very patient) colleagues (Mark Winterer + Brynn Bernheimer) I’m genuinely curious about your take on e-newsletters. Do you find them to be a valuable source of information? Do you read them from start to finish, or do they often get lost in the sea of emails? At Recover Green Roofs, we believe in the power of green spaces and sustainable living. Our newsletter aims to reflect these values, offering not just updates but also inspiration and knowledge. Soon, I'll be starting on a summer newsletter and would LOVE to make it even better! So, what do you think? Are newsletters still relevant to you? What makes you open and read them? Drop your thoughts in the comments below and let’s start a conversation. And if you found this post intriguing, give it a like or share it with your network. #Newsletters #Feedback #Engagement #GreenRoofs

This World Green Building Week, we’re reflecting on what it means to create spaces that truly inspire and protect the planet 🌎💚 At Reimagine, regenerative architecture is a guiding principle. Our mission is to design buildings that give back to the environment, rather than simply minimizing harm. From the earliest stages of planning, we’re intentional about the materials we use, the energy systems we integrate, and the ways our projects can contribute to their surroundings. It’s about building structures that not only meet today’s sustainability standards but also have a positive and lasting impact on the environment. Whether it’s through innovative energy solutions, reducing embodied carbon, or creating spaces that enhance biodiversity, we’re always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible. We’re proud to stand alongside the global green building community and the CAGBC | Canada Green Building Council, who continue to lead the way in transforming our built environment. Together, we’re working to #BuildTheTransition toward a zero-carbon future — one that prioritizes both people and planet. Let’s keep pushing forward, imagining new possibilities for the spaces we live, work, and play in. Explore more from the Canada Green Building Council and discover how we can all take part in shaping a resilient, regenerative future. The Spieghelstraat Apartments in Alkmaar, designed by Kraaijvanger Architects for Woonwaard Noordkennemerland, set a new standard for sustainable construction. This nearly energy-neutral complex features 44 apartments and incorporates reclaimed Western Red Cedar wood, revitalized by CirQ Wood. To ensure both sustainability and fire safety, Lemahieu Fire Protection® applied Burnblock’s natural fire retardant, achieving the required B-s2,d0 classification while preserving the wood’s beauty. This process not only extended the wood’s lifecycle but also kept 10,646 kg of CO2 sequestered within the cladding for decades to come. The project also relies on the Netherlands' most sustainable heating network, HVC, and integrates solar panels, making it a model for energy-neutral living. A fantastic collaboration showcasing how circular materials and innovative fire safety solutions redefine sustainable construction! #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #FireSafety #Burnblock #KraaijvangerArchitects #LemahieuGroup #CirQWood https://lnkd.in/d9ieft6F
