#Leadership quotes 16th January This week i provide you with inspiring leadership quotes from Ali Niknam, CEO Bunq "I have always been very curious and have a drive to create." Curiosity and creativity are key traits of successful leaders. They constantly seek new knowledge and ways to innovate. "The internet has not been swallowed by capitalism, but it has lost some of its purity." Leaders should be aware of the impact of commercialization on innovation and strive to maintain the original spirit of their endeavors. "I see a lot of those types in Silicon Valley that you saw in investment banks twenty years ago." Leaders should be cautious of trends that may compromise the integrity and authenticity of their industries. "It will be fine. Those kinds of people come and go, but the people who are there out of genuine convictions stay." True leaders are driven by genuine convictions and long-term vision, rather than short-term gains.

Growth in the Unknown: The Power of Being Always Unfinished 🌀 In leadership, the greatest opportunities often lie in uncharted territories. Yet, too many leaders seek comfort in what they already know, rather than exploring the potential of what could be. We believe that true leadership thrives in the unknown. Leaders who embrace an "Always Unfinished" mindset aren’t afraid of a blank canvas. In fact, they see it as an invitation to grow, adapt, and create. 🔍 Why is being 'Always Unfinished' so powerful? It fosters innovation: Staying unfinished means being open to new ideas, insights, and possibilities. You don’t settle for the status quo because you know there’s always room for more. It embraces uncertainty: The most successful leaders know that certainty is an illusion. The ability to adapt and pivot in the face of uncertainty sets great leaders apart. It builds resilience: When you’re comfortable being unfinished, failure becomes a step in the process, not a final destination. You get back up, rethink your approach, and try again. Imagine if we all approached leadership with the mindset that we’re never truly done—that each step we take brings us closer to something greater, but the journey itself is what matters most 💡 #ShapeShift #AlwaysUnfinished #LeadershipGrowth #ShapeShiftLeadership

In business and life, true innovation comes from seeing the ordinary with fresh perspective and courageously stepping into the unknown.\ Key Lessons: 💡 Stay open to surprises—they often hold hidden opportunities. 🔍 Explore innovation in the everyday. 🚀 Embrace change as the price of progress. 🌈 Look beyond the obvious to uncover hidden value. Leadership isn't about following the crowd or standing alone – it's about knowing when to do each. I've observed that many aspiring leaders fall into two traps: • Some blindly follow conventional wisdom, seeking safety in numbers • Others pride themselves on being contrarians, rejecting mainstream ideas simply to be different The key is to: 1. Evaluate decisions on their merits, not their popularity 2. Have the courage to stand alone when data and intuition point to a better way 3. Be humble enough to follow proven paths when they align with your goals Remember: Being in a crowd doesn't validate your direction, and being alone doesn't invalidate it. What matters is the strength of your reasoning and the clarity of your vision. Great leaders know how to balance both – they understand when to leverage collective wisdom and when to forge new paths. They lead with conviction, not conformity. #Leadership #Innovation #PersonalDevelopment Acumont

Challenging the Status Quo & Redefining Leadership Every time I’m invited to train leaders, I bring more than words. I bring challenges—challenges to ideas, to comfort zones, to the very positions leaders hold dear. Leadership is not about stubbornly holding ground; it’s about evolving, adapting, and embracing new perspectives. My goal is never just to inspire but to provoke thought, stir curiosity, and awaken the conscience. Great leaders are not rigid; they’re flexible, courageous enough to question themselves, and willing to embrace change when the evidence demands it. True growth happens when we move beyond agreement and venture into the discomfort of transformation. This is the foundation of resilient, forward-thinking leadership. So as I train, I don't just expect attention—I expect action. I don’t just want nods; I want the spark of new ideas. After all, the future doesn’t belong to the comfortable; it belongs to the curious. #MMM #LeadershipTraining #GrowthMindset #TransformationalLeadership!

Many people think great leaders should be strong and stoic, never showing weakness….. But in my experience, true leadership comes from a place of vulnerability. It's about having the courage to be yourself, to admit when you're wrong, and to ask for help when you need it. It's about creating a safe space for others to do the same. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we build trust and connection with those around us. We show them that it's okay to be imperfect, to make mistakes, and to learn from them. This creates a culture of psychological safety, where people feel comfortable taking risks, sharing ideas, and challenging the status quo. And that's when true innovation and growth can happen. So, if you want to be a better leader, start by being more vulnerable. It takes courage, but it's worth it. What do you think? How has vulnerability helped you as a leader? #Leadership #Vulnerability #Authenticity #Growthmindset #Inspiration

I like to think about leadership like this: it's inspiring and guiding others towards a shared vision. Through my journey, I've come to understand that the best leaders embody certain key qualities: Integrity: A leader’s words and actions should align. Integrity builds trust, and trust is the foundation of any successful team. Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others create a supportive and cohesive work environment. It shows that you genuinely care about your team’s well-being. Vision: Great leaders have a clear vision and communicate it effectively. They inspire others to see the bigger picture and work together to achieve it. Humility: Recognizing that leadership is about service, not power. Humility allows leaders to listen, learn, and grow alongside their team. Faith: For me, faith plays a crucial role in leadership. It provides strength, guidance, and a sense of purpose that transcends daily challenges. These qualities are always a work in progress. However, striving to be better in each area daily can help us lead with compassion and conviction, creating an environment where everyone thrives! #LeadershipQualities #EmpathyInLeadership #VisionaryLeadership #FaithDriven #ServantLeadership #BusinessLeadership

𝐁𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 – 𝐀 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 In business and in life, we often look externally for validation, direction, or the missing piece to our success. But the most effective leaders and innovators recognize this: everything you need to thrive is already within you. Grieving the idea that someone or something else will "complete" you is a necessary step toward realizing your potential. When you let go of seeking permission from others, you unlock the ability to step into your power and lead authentically. For leaders, this isn’t just personal advice ... it’s strategic! The most resilient organizations are built by individuals who take ownership of their growth, embrace their unique strengths, and inspire others to do the same. Ask yourself: what decisions, ideas or innovations are you holding back because you’re waiting for external approval? What might be possible if you gave yourself permission to lead from within? It’s not about self-sufficiency in isolation. It’s about empowering yourself to step forward, shaping your future instead of waiting for someone else to define it. Leadership starts with you. Are you ready to lead yourself first? #authenticity #leadership #growth

𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 #ProTip: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 '𝐘𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐧' CEOs who surround themselves with 'yes men' create dangerous echo chambers. Innovation stagnates when everyone agrees without challenging ideas, and critical problems are ignored. This is reckless leadership, increasing the likelihood of failure. Authentic leaders encourage diverse opinions and welcome pushback. Building a team of trusted advisors who challenge ideas is essential for long-term success. If you're working under a CEO like this, it's time to start quietly looking elsewhere. You're working for a narcissist. #Leadership #BusinessGrowth #CEO

"Momentum doesn't always have to be from the top" - I said to the participants as they were building a Rube Goldberg Machine today and their starting points are going higher and higher to the ceiling. I truly believe and have witnessed how one person who seems insignificant because they do not have a title or are on top of the hierarchy in an organisation, team, community bring about significant change. That's the power of leadership. It's a strong reminder that it's never really about the title, the role or even the responsibility. It's the heart where true leadership lies - the intention to get everyone somewhere good, without leaving anyone behind. Over the years, I've had conversations with great leaders who debate about the need for intellect in leaders and deep down, this perspective has not sat well with me. Great leaders don't need to have everything - charisma, intellect, business acumen (and the list goes on). The most important quality is the ability to bring people together, use collective power to get somewhere good, together. Everything else can be learnt, built or even outsourced. But never the heart. What do you think? #leadership #collectivepower #reflections
