It's the First Friday of the year and I could not let it go by without celebrating #weeklywins What did you accomplish this week? Large or small every bit counts towards progress. For me: I started January off with booking a few meetings. Refreshed my talk tracks so I can uncover more of the prospects pain. Organized my social media accounts a little better. Cooked a hearty meal for New Year's Day (and still have leftovers tonight so I don't have to cook...now thats a W!!) What were your wins this week? Day 95 #100daypostingchallenge #sdr #bdr #techsales

Let’s call it what it was, a lunch that hit all the right notes. From first-timers to seasoned pros, the room didn’t just show up, they delivered. Conversations ran deep, laughs ran loud, and nobody even noticed the clock. This one? Definitely for the books. #NetWorkWise #BuildingConnections #NetworkingDoneRight #ConversationsThatMatter #MeaningfulConnections #OneForTheBooks
One for the Books at More Than Just a Lunch! 🌟 Today's lunch was spectacular, with a vibrant mix of veterans and newcomers at the table. From laughter that echoed like we were hundreds to heartfelt conversations on tough topics, the energy was infectious! Big thanks to our amazing attendees (Jason Balaban, Matthew Cohen, Kyle Healy, Charley Krause, Jake M., Robert Miller, Jim Oldham) who made it feel like a full house with their enthusiasm and humor. Whether it was their first or 21st lunch, everyone brought their A-game. Let’s not forget the special touches that made the day even sweeter: - A fine bottle of wine that sparked conversations 🍷 - Delicious homemade cookies that were a perfect treat for all 🍪 These gestures truly reflected the gratitude and empathy that defined today's gathering. We ran over time, but nobody seemed to mind—we were all too engaged! To those who’ve already reached out wanting to connect personally and professionally, you embody the spirit of what we’re all about. Here’s to more incredible lunches and lasting connections! 🥂 #MoreThanJustALunch #NetworkingSuccess #CommunityBuilding #Gratitude #AdamConnors

Today, as I celebrate my birthday, I received the most unexpected and delightful surprise a money cake from one of my cherished clients, the incredible CEO of Bake4Me LTD, Brenda Sekabembe. Beyond the edible beauty of the cake itself, this thoughtful gesture reminded me of some priceless lessons about business, relationships & life. From working with her, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about the products or services you offer,it’s about the emotional connections you create. Her cakes don’t just taste amazing, they tell stories, evoke memories & celebrate milestones. Isn’t that what every business should aim for? She’s shown me that consistency is the key ingredient for growth. Whether you’re baking a cake or building a business, you must show up, deliver quality & sprinkle some creativity on top to keep things fresh. But what strikes me most is her generosity & kindness. This money cake wasn’t just a gift,it was a reminder to pour into the lives of others. After all, clients may forget what you said or did, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel. So here I am, not just grateful for the cake but for the invaluable lessons this woman has taught me,through both her work and her actions. How are you adding sweetness & generosity to your own relationships,be it in business or life? #LessonsFromClients #GratefulHeart #BirthdayWisdom #Bake4MeLTD #BusinessAndRelationships #SprinkleKindness

**25 ‘Lifetime Supply’ Winners Share Their Stories, From Ecstatic to Regretful** Winning a lifetime supply of a product sounds like a dream come true. Imagine never having to worry about running out of your favorite snack, beverage, or even toilet paper. But as the saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for.” Recently, an intriguing discussion unfolded on Reddit where users shared their experiences after winning a lifetime supply of various products. The highs and lows revealed in these stories are both fascinating and eye-opening. For some, the win was a blessing. One Redditor who won a lifetime supply of chocolate bars shared how they have saved hundreds of dollars over the years and have never had to think twice about reaching for a sweet treat. Another winner, who scored a lifetime supply of a popular soda brand, throws the best BBQs in the neighborhood, never running out of drinks to offer. However, not every story had a happy ending. In one case, an individual who won a lifetime supply of a particular brand of cereal found themselves tiring of it after a few months. The cereal boxes piled up, unwanted and unused, leading to a cluttered pantry and even regifting frenzies during the holidays. Another winner, who was overjoyed to win a lifetime supply of toilet paper initially, turned regretful when storage became an issue. They found themselves overwhelmed by the sheer volume of TP that arrived regularly, far more than their household could ever use. These stories shed light on the unexpected challenges and mixed feelings that can come with winning a "lifetime supply" of anything. While the idea seems like a no-brainer – who wouldn’t want their favorite things in endless quantity? – the reality can be quite different. For those considering entering such contests, these stories offer a word of caution: consider what you’re signing up for. It’s not just about the joy of winning but also the practicalities of receiving, storing, and actually using the product over a potentially long period. Lieke Veldhuis' Fire Pit traditions: A few years ago, my family started a new Christmas tradition that has become one of our most cherished moments: gathering around the fire pit to reflect on the year. 🔥 After a delicious dinner we all cooked together, we head outside with mulled wine in hand. As the fire burns, we dive into meaningful questions like: - What three words sum up your year? - What are you most grateful for? - What are you most proud of? - What do you want to leave behind? The last question always ends with us writing our thoughts on paper and tossing them into the flames, letting go of what no longer serves us. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without waiting for my mom’s marshmallow to catch fire because she’s too busy laughing and chatting. Clearly, the mulled wine has done its job. These moments remind us of the power of connection, reflection, and being present with one another. It’s not about perfection; it’s about the conversations, the joy, the laughter, and the memories we create together. What traditions or rituals help you connect more deeply with your loved ones? Share your stories, I’d love to hear them! lieke@better-future.com #MeaningfulConnections #ReflectionMoments #FirePitReflections #BetterFuture
