What makes successful nonprofits? Partnership, partnership, partnership. Great work by Greater Pine Island Alliance, bringing Camp Noah to their Hurrican Ian impacted community to help in the long-term recovery of children and families. #florida #hurricaneian #longtermrecovery
Imagine a place where children affected by disasters can process their experiences and build confidence ahead of future storms. This is where Camp Noah comes in — a disaster recovery partner that provides preparedness and resiliency-building camps for elementary-aged children in their community. These camps allow children to share their disaster experiences in a safe, fun and supportive way, and learn resiliency techniques to help them manage stressful situations and learn how to stay safe during emergencies. Camp Noah has been one of our longtime partners, providing recovery services to families in need, dating back to disasters like Hurricane Harvey and the Camp Fire. For the past 26 years, they’ve served some 15,000 children in 35 states and Puerto Rico with the assistance of over 4,000 volunteers. These programs provided by our partners are invaluable to the people we help. We’re proud to expand their impact on communities affected by increasing and recurring disasters through our grant programs. #ClimateCrisis
