It’s Staff Spotlight Sunday! 📣 . Meet Abbey, the manager at our Edmond, OK location, and get to know her a little better!!💛 . Haley has been with Hollywood Feed for 4 1/2 years starting as a part-time sales associate. She affectionately calls her crew a zoo with three dogs, and four cats! 🐶🐶🐶🐱🐱🐱🐱 . "My favorite thing about working at Hollywood Feed has been the relationships that I have been able to build! I love getting to know my customers and their pets, as well as working with others that love animals as much as I do!" . A fun fact about Abbey is that she actually got two of her cats while working at Hollywood Feed! “One day, a customer found a tiny 1-pound, 4-week-old kitten outside in the rain at his workplace. Unsure of what to do, he brought the kitten into the store, and of course, I had to take him in. The second cat was found on the side of the road by one of our delivery drivers. She saw him, and after finishing her deliveries, she went back to get him. Naturally, I had to take him in too!" Join us in thanking Abbey for all of her hard work! 👏 . . #hwfeed #feedteam

Chick-fil-A is not my favorite meal choice, but it is one of my favorite meal destinations, and here is why. I was rounding the drive-through one recent evening and caught an old obscure song on my car radio. My window was down, and the young man taking my order started singing it word for word. His joy was contagious, and it made me feel “connected.” Chick-fil-A knows how to hire people who can connect. Accordingly, people who know their “why,” as in “why am I here,” make their organizations better. For example, most school custodians do not have "Direction Giver" as part of their written job description. But that custodian who cheerfully not only tells but shows those lost parents where they need to go, undoubtedly makes the organization better. TrustDALE-certified companies excel at hiring people who know their “why,” and therefore go above and beyond to connect. Another reason to TrustDALE! #chickfilA #trustdale #deepthoughts #dalecardwell #knowyourwhy #contagiousjoy #connected

Purpose is thrown around quite a bit in marketing, but for The Raw Carrot and its team, it is a real, tangible concept, captured in a bag of soup. Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting The Raw Carrot's headquarters in person with the fantastic team from OneChurch.to. By selling their delicious soup, they provide dignity, community and support to those living with disabilities through purpose-filled employment. During our time with their founder, Rebecca Sherbino and their leadership team, a few things struck me: 🥕 Their team's ingenuity. Recognizing a need and creating a scalable model which they are working to replicate across the country. 🥕 Their truly entrepreneurial innovation. Stewarding their limited resources to develop new lines of income for seasons when the soup isn't in high demand (I'd say they are pros at effectuation in action). 🥕 Their care and attention to the unique needs of their staff. Be it coaching, one-on-one support, or even as simple as creating an atmosphere of calm in their kitchen. I'm genuinely inspired by what Rebecca and her team have accomplished, and I am so excited to see The Raw Carrot grow and bring purposeful employment to more people who are experiencing boundaries to employment. If you want to support their incredible work - consider following their page, connecting with Rebecca and her team below and, of course, purchasing their soup! (P.S. They do corporate orders, too!) People/Ops Management | Business/Organizational Leadership | Change Management | Project Management | Leadership Development | Evidence-Based Training
Training and development is everything.
Leader of a family business and a former college football coach that helps businesses build virtual universities, and individuals get 1% better everyday.
When I say Chick-fil-A what do you think? 99.9% of people say two things. Closed on Sunday and customer service. That’s a ridiculously low variance in brand recognition. How did they do it? It’s actually fairly simple, they market who they are instead of what they do, and they identify and train people better than anyone else. Their commercials are about the stories they create in their communities, and they are rigid about who you have to be to work for them. They have a simple purpose, "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A." Most people spend far too much time talking about what they do instead of who they are. If we can find people who believe the same things we do, then it’s a natural evolution to possibly do business together. What do you believe? #ontheballpresident #traininganddevelopment #personaldevelopment #professionaldevelopment

Helping Veterinarians with profit optimized, data-driven growth for their animal hospital. 👨🏻💻🤖 📈 AI | Automation | Analytics |
If you have a #veterinary competitor coming to you locally, take a moment to strategize and maintain your edge. 💡 Did you know? 97% of people turn to online sources to learn more about local businesses (Source: SEO Tribunal). 1️⃣ Assess your Google presence: Search these terms on Google (don't wait for a competitor, try it now): A) "Vet near me" B) "Best Vet near _____ (town)" C) "_____ (type: dog/cat/pet) vet near me/town" Repeat the searches on Google Maps to gauge your ranking there as well. 2️⃣ Reviews make a difference! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Consider this: Would you choose a 3.1⭐ #veterinaryclinic with 26 reviews over a 4.6⭐ #veterinarypractice with 161 reviews? Your market typically won't. #ai assisted review request and management is here (see image) ✅ *Research indicates that 91% of 18 to 34-year-olds trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. ✅ *The importance of negative reviews has increased, with 96% of customers actively seeking them out—a significant jump from 85% in 2018. *https://t.ly/LfA7w
Let's say Chewy (or GoodVets, Sploot, Petfolk, etc.) announces a brand new practice one mile away from you. Doesn't matter if you're leading an independent or corporate-owned location. What's the first thing you should do? There are no wrong answers, so don't be shy. I'll post mine this weekend.😉

I challenged everyone to think about what to do when a new practice pops up nearby. Here's what I would do: Look around your practice - inside and out - at the exterior facade, landscaping, lobby, exam rooms, etc. Can you compete on a visual, aesthetic level? Pet owners judge their experience at the vet by what they SEE and how they are TREATED. They can't judge clinical quality appropriately. If your practice looks a little tired, a call to an architect/contractor is in order. Go look at the websites of the de novo companies. They can be feasts for the eyes. There is intentionality around how they are crafting client experiences and physical spaces play a crucial role. You can do all the defensive #veterinarymarketing in the world and it won't spare you client attrition if you neglect the visual experience. This goes for #veterinaryrecruiting too. Job applicants visit practices they interview at. There is an element of window shopping involved, plain and simple. Money obviously plays a role, but where you have to work each and every day is integral to where you accept a job. Who wouldn't want to work someone new and modern? This is major reason why the de novo companies have been successful hiring. It's not all about the $$$.

Helping Companies To Scale And Achieve Profitability Goals By Recruiting Top Tier Manufacturing Talent in Food, Packaging and the Industrial Products Industry.
Ever had that moment where you felt like you were stuck in a time warp, watching the management team fumble through their tasks like a slow-motion game of "fetch the stick?" That was me last night at my local cell phone store. I went in to get a new phone activated, but guess what? The Branch Manager was MIA, and I had to settle for the Assistant Branch Manager. Now, I’m sure they’re all putting in the effort, but it’s clear that without proper training, their skills resemble a dog's attempt at a high-speed chase to get the stick —enthusiastic but not exactly effective. Remember folks, investing in training isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s essential. Otherwise, your customer experience might end up looking more like a canine comedy routine than a smooth operation. 🐕📱 #CustomerService #TrainingMatters #Dogtoys #training #manufacturing #talentaqusition #manufacturingrecruiter #openjobs
