As we continue to celebrate the #Holman100, let’s revisit Holman’s 90th-anniversary celebration held on August 17, 2014, at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park. Activities included self-guided tours of the clubhouse, dugouts, batting cages, and media room; participants could walk the bases and see themselves on the jumbo video display; the Philly Phanatic was the perfect host, and lots of food was eaten.

⚾ Mets Victory + Philly's Big Win! 🌳 As a Flushing native & lifelong Mets fan, I'm still buzzing from our incredible win over the Phillies! The rally towels were flying, Lindor was crushing it, and NYC was electric. But while the 7 Line Army is celebrating, let's take a moment to tip our caps to another win happening in Philadelphia—this time (thankfully), off the field. 🏙️ Philly's Clean and Green Initiative is turning vacant lots into vibrant spaces, proving that when a city invests in its neighborhoods, it gets way more than just good looks. From reducing crime to improving mental health, this initiative is a game-changer. So, while the Mets advance, Philly's public policy deserves its own round of applause. 👏 It's proof that transforming communities is a team effort, whether on the diamond or in our cities. Check out my Malcom Gladwell inspired piece on how Philly (the city not Harper or Schwarber) is knocking it out of the park: https://lnkd.in/eDr2Yhwp #CleanAndGreen #UrbanRenewal #PublicPolicy #NeighborhoodPride #MentalHealthMatters #CrimeReduction #UrbanGreening #Sustainability #Mets #LGM #OMG #7LineArmy

Working with your board and council is key to aligning strategy for the future of your community. A reminder that in our industry, an open mind is one of the best things a board, council or court member can bring to the table. Grateful to have that in a community where I work AND live. #medc #mckinney #mckinneytexas #mckinneytx #pipeline #projectpipeline #development #economicdevelopment #land #landdevelopment #strategy #strategicthinking #strategicplanning #boardretreat
We spent the day yesterday with our staff and board evaluating and strategizing about our high-level misson, KPI's, and goals, and it felt only fitting to end the day on the eighth floor of the District 121 Building as the highest point in McKinney. Thankful to have a board and staff with great vision to see the future, hearts to strengthen the community, and hands to work out what strategic growth in McKinney can look like. You are the source of the change you seek.
St. Louis does not have a branding issue; it just needs the initiative to clean itself up. Every Wednesday our company has a team meeting where we discuss issues/solutions facing different sectors of our business. A tenant recently sent us a maintenance request asking someone to throw away a rotten fruit delivery that was made to a nearby apartment. Our property manager replied to the tenant that they should put the bag in the trash container that was several feet away. Problem solved! Every day/week/month/year, St. Louis is reminded of its issues: County/City divide, crime, declining population, lack of investment/businesses, vacant buildings, etc. Sounds like we should rebrand STL as “Sisyphus City.” (Note: In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was a king that was sentenced by the gods to an eternity of frustration where he would push a boulder up a hill only to see it roll back down every time it was close to the top) It starts with small things. Sometimes lazy people do not put trash in the dumpsters located in the alley behind my house. I don’t let it sit there magically wishing for the trash fairy to pick it up. I get my hands dirty and clean it myself. St. Louis needs more “doers” if they want to see progress. I am not sitting this one out for my son’s generation to clean things up. It is my job as a parent and STL citizen to make it a better city for them. Time to take out the trash! #community #initiative #inspiration #grit #fight Greater St. Louis, Inc. It is time for each Australian to step up, use their minds to think through and problem-solve to take personal responsibility with action. Our culture has slipped into a 'group think' state of mind without question. The tail is wagging the dog, and people following like sheep. #JoannaBryant states it so eloquently in this short presentation https://lnkd.in/gCgcsM8f
