This #PrideMonth, we’re reflecting on the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusion in social care. A recent article by The King's Fund emphasises a crucial reminder: LGBTQ+ people and families have always existed, but how the health care sector treats LGBTQ+ individuals is intrinsically linked to our survival as a community, and how society views us. The article explores the history of LGBTQ+ healthcare, highlighting the prevalence of discrimination in the past and the positive changes witnessed in recent decades. Looking ahead, we can enhance LGBTQ+ inclusion in social care by: 🟢Educating staff on the specific needs of LGBTQ+ clients. 🟢Creating a culture of acceptance where everyone feels comfortable being themselves. 🟢Advocating for policies that promote LGBTQ+ rights and well-being. We're committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our employees and customers. How can the social care sector ensure everyone receives the care and respect they deserve? We would love to hear your thoughts 🌈 #PASSforCare #PrideMonth #SocialCare
