Thankyou Rosemary Gallagher for your excellent piece. Producing a Scottish Rye Whisky as our first brand, RyeLaw, was a clear statement of intent. InchDairnie Distillery is all about flavour, something that I think is often lost when people talk about Scotch Whisky. Now that whisky is produced globally we need to get back to the basics, flavour and provenance. RyeLaw is a Scottish Rye Whisky which does not fit into the current legal definition and for that reason we have to put Grain Whisky on the front of the bottle. This is not very helpful when a Rye Whisky has a different flavour profile to a traditional Grain Whisky. This achieves the exact opposite of why the whisky categories were first developed. They were developed to better inform the consumer, we are now confusing the customer. InchDairnie is a Fife distillery producing a Fife Whisky from Fife cereals. InchDairnie will always be Fife and never just Lowland, another challenge for us.

Why Miltonduff is a Savvy Investment - Adding Miltonduff to your collection is a wise move for several reasons: its primary use in Ballantine's means it's rarely available as a single malt. Independent bottlers covet it, ensuring strong resale potential. Finally, the malt is excellent, making it slightly underpriced. Remember, while single malts have enjoyed tremendous growth and interest this century, blends remain the primary revenue driver for whisky companies. In short, Miltonduff is a must-buy. Fib is an independent bottler with a unique approach to single cask Scotch whisky. Rather than bottling one cask at a time, Fib prefers to get creative with the spirit it acquires. Half of the cask is bottled as it comes whilst the other half is given an additional maturation in a second cask. The Speyside distillery, majority-owned by Scotch whisky veteran Billy Walker, has reported a significant profit increase amidst global economic and geopolitical challenges. The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited Distillers Company Limited revealed a pre-tax profit of £8.94 million for the year ended December 31, up from £7.7m in the previous year, with turnover rising to £23.2m from £20.7m. These figures reflect the company's continued growth, surpassing £20m in revenue for the first time. Despite facing various economic and geopolitical hurdles, including conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East impacting key markets, the distillery has shown resilience and maintained its upward trajectory. The industry witnessed a surge in demand in 2022 following the easing of Covid restrictions and the reopening of global travel, leading to a significant sales boost. Distributors and retailers are still managing the stock exported during this period of heightened demand.
