“What happens if it rains on the day of our shoot?” During the shoot I am normally in control of most things - the weather, unfortunately though, I have no control over. Obviously, if the shoot is scheduled to make use of an indoor location, then it wouldn’t make that much of a difference, even if the plan was to use daylight coming through a window as the light source. It just means that there will be less light and it will be softer. So not really a problem. If the shoot was due to be outdoors, then “it depends”. I like to work in open shade when outdoors, that means that we should be close to some cover - whether that be trees or buildings. When that is not the case, then it is possible to use the inclement conditions as a theme in the shoot and embrace them or, as I would have normally been keeping an eye on the weather forecasts, I would give you the opportunity to rearrange the shoot to a time when the outlook is more favourable. Wind can often be more of a problem than rain and is often harder to forecast accurately.
